    Weird insurance business

With RAA. Just checked policy for my VF II Redline from when I opened it mid 2018 to now. Insured to $45k (what I paid) or Market value, whichever is higher. Hasn't changed. Premium went down by $33 this year.

    Fuel injector failure

Quick update, been a couple of months now since my injectors were swapped out. Fuel economy has improved from 13.3 to 12.7 as of today.

    Fuel injector failure

Yeah, that's what I had. Issue was intermittent for 2 days, then thankfully stopped for a week as i went for 1000km round trip long weekend to Mt Gambier. Warning lights would disappear as soon as the car started running correctly. I didn't tell Holden that though. Then of course it came...

The King is dead. Long live the King! RIP Commodore :-(

Worked alongside the HSPO transport contract a number of years back. Was amazing how many parts they had for the older variants/previous models. It was explained at the time that Holden "had" to keep a number of years/models worth of components. I can't confirm if that's correct, or who in...

    Which wheels ?

Glad you started the thread. I've literally started a book and looking through possible rim choices for later next year. Every link, make, google image search I can find. Currently running the same rims as you, and don't like the busy look.

    Fuel injector failure

First, thanks to everyone for detailing their issues and experience. As soon as my Redline started playing up this was my first research stop. So, identified the injectors as an intermittent issue 4 weeks ago. Called into City Holden for the official diagnosis. Explained the issue and my...

Ever so slight little jolt when stopping and taking off

;) No, not the fuel tank. Holden asked the same thing. My series 1 VF ute you could definitely hear the fuel. As per other comments, this is very much like there is a couple of mm slack in a bush in the rear end. I haven't had it braking, only at take off.

Ever so slight little jolt when stopping and taking off

Was wondering if anyone had the same issue. Recently started in my 2016 Redline. Had the old man in the backseat and he could feel it directly beneath him. It's intermittent at present. Reported it at recent service, and as per other comments, dealer advised it's a "known issue" but not a...

    VF2 fuel consumption

Just thought I'd add to this thread after a weekend away. Running BP 95. First trip in my series 2 Redline. Adelaide to Mount Gambier return. Sat on about 112 km/h. Total round trip of 931 km's. Fuel economy of 10.3 L/100km. That's better than my VF S1 ute I had previously. So, right now...

What deal did you get for your vf series 2????

Yeah, agree. I even flagged that they are paying interest on these which the manager acknowledged, but still wouldn't budge. Was even interesting just purchasing second hand through a dealer. I rang a number of dealers interstate and talked terms and made an offer on a vehicle and three of...

What deal did you get for your vf series 2????

Tried negotiating with a few dealers in Adelaide on the new ones sitting around and they just wouldn't budge....even as we approach EOFY. Also followed up with a broker and he admitted it was pretty much the same nationally. Ended up purchasing a heron white 2016 SSV Redline manual with 25k on...

    VF wheel placard

Thanks mate, maybe I should go back and order that label? Here's the label from my series 1 and you can see the issue. Talking to Bridgestone they advised that the label should be linked to the VIN so was surprised that Holden had just sold the label without checking. I'm just about due for a...

    VF wheel placard

As per above, wish I'd found this earlier but there was enough bread crumbs across a few threads. Just been to the local dealer and purchased this label. No picture and the guy at Parts couldn't confirm what it had on it but the part number on my invoice matches this picture (92294927), only...

Load rated tyre for the VF

Just going through this now. Purchased my VF Redline second hand just recently with 20" wheels which I love. They tyres on them are a 245/40 R20 with a load rating of 99V which meets the requirement of being over the minimum rating which is 98 as per sticker. But...here in SA the rules are...

    Redline rear tyre choices

Picked up my Redline ute 3 months ago with Achilles Desert Hawk UHP on it. Always been wary of cheap tyres after a bad experience years ago but these have been great. Clocked 5000 km's on them so far and wearing well. Give the car a good run through the hills in Adelaide and the tyres perform...

    20" tyres

First post, so greetings to everyone. Just picked up a 2014 SSV Redline ute with 20inch rims (245 front and back). New tyres on it when purchased.... Achilles Desert Hawk UHP. Looking on Tempe Tyres they are only $129 a tyre, dirt cheap for that size. So I can only comment after my first...
