Less start up noise (easy to hear in a cold diesel ) and generally smoother through the rev range. Sounds like placebo, but I have had the car for 6 years and drive it every day.

Looking to try Gulf Western SYN–X 4000. I have used Gulf Western Top Dog XDO in my diesel Pajero for years and it is better than the Penrite HPR10 diesel.

If you can't fix it with a hammer...You have an electrical problem :p

My favourite is the VH with factory dual exhaust. Had one as a teenager. Never should have sold it.

Nice oil. It is what I put in for my 1st oil change. Went to QLD and back, ran smooth and quiet. Felt better than factory fill, but it was probably placebo effect ;)

How tight does the battery fit? Can it be slightly larger in HxWxD? I am looking to get an AGM battery but can't find any exactly the same size. Has anyone fit an AGM?

I have just started using Penrite HPR 5 - 5W-40. Aussie made full synthetic with extra zinc. Runs smoother & quieter than the factory fill, what ever that was.

Had 9 month service done on Monday. Just done 1004km:confused:. Oil was black as! Replaced it with HPR 5 - 5W40. It is smoother and quieter than the factory fill. Very happy :)

Doing a service on Monday, and my mate who is a mechanic say to use: Penrite HPR 5- 5w40. Swears by it. Says no harm if you don't use the dexos (just marketing). If you do get into a jam (very unlikely)...Why not just drop the oil and put dexos in :) Who's to know ;)
