Update…Dealer is getting fuel analysis done. 5 business days turnaround. I need them to prove to me how they didn’t cause the fuel contamination when tank was dropped out of car and left sitting there for 2 days while they waited for fuel sender. Question for those who have removed the tank...

FFS…So Holden are stating to me that it’s fuel pump failure caused by dirty fuel. They dropped the tank originally to replace the fuel sender! At this stage they can’t tell me if they replaced the fuel or not when doing so. They haven't analysed the fuel, just observe the pump and tank. I have...

No, not sure of anything, but you could be right, fuel gauge sitting on 1/2! Is this something that I can check easily? Or does the exhaust/tank have to be removed?

Thanks, and yeah, I’m worried about that too. Car is back to the dealer tomorrow morning for them to deal with it. You would think after seeing the car and the owner (me), that they would know to ‘handle with care’ and that the owner is fussy. Actually, they should do this for all customers

Ok, so a good news story…finally got the car looked at this week…fuel level sender replaced at zero cost. Parts and labour picked up by Holden under warranty, not bad since the cars warranty expired 3yrs ago. But having said, I wouldn't expect anything else. Car is immaculate with only 22k kms...

Finally got around to confirming the code today… P0463 - Fuel level Sensor A Circuit High (scangauge out of my other car did the job) I‘ll ring Holden this week…wish me luck

Correct, especially over Dec/Jan when I was on holidays and I couldn’t drive it. One consolation is that I just had the 9 month service done for free.

That’s why I had to wait 6 weeks, cars still at the dealer took priority and a long list of customers like me. I would of thought the wait would of shortened significantly by now.

For those interested...Holden honoured the free service that was promised after the rocker arm issue. Had the 9 month service (cars done 3500km) on the weekend. $0 Had the letter with me ready to slap it on the counter if I was invoiced!...it was not needed.

I can’t wait to pick up my car when I next get it serviced...they will hand me the invoice...I’ll hand them the letter with ‘free’ highlighted...what do you reckon the response is going to be?
