The helper spring is just to locate the main spring, the rears have them on the commodores so when you jack the car off the ground the main spring is held in place and doesn't spin on the top mount. It's a very light spring that just compresses flat when the car is on the ground.

Update, Everything installed and aligned and problem solved. Pushing it through some hills runs, the feel of the car has been massively transformed from what it was (Lovells ssl & struts). Was also planning to do sway bars & links but discussions with the guys at MCA has turned me off doing...

Apparently the VF GTS (as well as GTSR & W1) axles are miss matched diameter like the Gforce ones. Will VF GTS axles fit VE? Could be an additional option if so.
