I have a 96 vs ecotec commodore I put a paper clip in 5 and 6 let it flash for a bit than took it out than took it for a run and the engine light came back on again dose it mean I have to take it too a mechanic to put it on a computer

Thanks for the reply I have just woken up about to have a cuppa of coffee than I have to find a paper clip so do i leave the car off to put the paper clip in than turn it on to reds on the dash
