I have the software on elmstreet OBD 11 which I bought 3 years ago for my vy ss ls1 , now I have a ve Calais 2012 series 2 with the SIDI 3:6 motor . can I use the above for the Calais diagnostics. I have all the ve fault codes , I bought a Haynes workshop manual for ve and vf. Thanks for any help.

I like using a 10-40 grade semi synthetic diesel , good brand like Penrite , Repco. some people like using Castrol Edge 10-60 for high performance or high revs such as drag racing, burnouts, drifting where the oil has more viscosity at high revs and temps.

yes the trade in value of my 2003 vy ss with only 131k is less than $5000 , but dealers are still asking $12000 plus for them.

I use Penrite semi synthetic 10 / 40 diesel oil in my ls1, a lot of holden Adventra ls1 owners use it and recommend it.

monaros of around 2003 are selling in the low to mid 20k price , so yours with a complete service history and the low kms you would have to ask for at least 25k I reckon.

yeah I had the same problems as you on my vy ss last year , was faulty ABS module . got the module repaired by a company in Victoria , I think " INJECTRONICS " cost $ 600 .

there is a really good Adventra and Holden all wheel drive forum on facebook which has a wealth of information from dedicated owners , great forum for 4Wd Holden owners.

All you can really use is a fairly small shifter spanner , maybe 150 mm long that makes it easier to access the fitting . another idea is to carefully file an open end 18mm spanner to fit the fitting.
