    vf rims on ve

Silly question but it has to be asked - are you hand tightening the wheel nuts so the rim is flush, then doing them up fully in the correct order (opposing sides)?

Because it comes from a different generation of car, you would still need to get engineering certs.

    VE series 2 heater

The air vents in my car get stuck on legs, restarting the car usually fixes the problem. I might give the vent relearn a go as well - what could possibly go wrong! o_O

Few weeks ago? This car will probably be in pieces by now, scattered around the country or already have a new owner overseas. Sucks that it was stolen :(

DPRK - North Korea, When will Trump be a chump and start a war?

China said they would back NK if USA started the war and back USA/SK if NK started the war - so I think Trump is trying to provoke NK into firing first. Simples.

    Takata Airbag Safety Recall (global)

Please double-check this list and make sure your friends are aware, there was a recent scandal about some dealers(svc dept) not alerting owners that their car is part of this recall.

Holden ve 2008 questions for first car & p plater questions

Prices are on the page. Bare minimum with just the supercharger nothing else, you're probably looking at around $7k inc labour. Once you start ramping the pressures up you need to start looking at aftermarket fuel pumps, injectors, intercoolers etc.. things get rather pricey.

    2011 ve sv6 series 2

    Did a little digging and this is roughly what your VIN means. 6G1E = General Motors Australia K = SV6 (P= SS) 5 = Sedan E = Control letter V = (Perhaps colour code?) 4 = Series II (2 = series 1) b = Year of manufacture - 2011 L = Elizabeth manufacturing plant 578066 = Production number You...

    Instruments not working

Does it even have a fuse? I can't remember and my commodore is alllll the way out in my driveway to go and check... Replacing it may fix the instrument cluster briefly but it wouldn't solve what caused the fuse to break in the first place. It will just keep breaking again and again.

    Instruments not working

Considering practically all your gauges are out, my first step would be to remove the instrument cluster. Just have a checkers at the connections, make sure they're not oxidised and that the plug is in good condition. Give the connections a good clean, plug it back in and see how you go. I...

Want to get rid of the wagon.

+1. Financers are total jerks when it comes to disposing of your car before it's paid out. They do this for a living, you're not the only one they've dug their claws into.

    Rough idle 08 ve v6

Sounds like a good place to start. No need to replace them yet, just check for fouling and clearances - if they look fine then they probably are. While you're there, check your plug wires and make sure they're not brittle or damaged. Let us know how it goes and we'll keep troubleshooting.

    Barina ABS codes

They look like regular OBD-II codes but I'm not sure about the sub categories... P = Powertrain (Engine, Trans, Gearbox etc); 0 = Generic OBD code (global code, not manufacturer specific) 5 = Vehicle Speed Control / Idle Control System 20 = Engine Oil Pressure Sensor -> Switch Circuit...

    Rough idle 08 ve v6

It's all witchcraft under the hood these days, if the car just idles rough all teh time or fluctuates it could be crappy plug wires, distributor, rotor, failing O2 sensor or even a sticking idle stabilizer valve - to name a few. If it only idles rough when it's cold, it could be a problem with...

Do you like or hate the new Commodore?

The plan was to run my SV6 into the ground, sell it for scrap and buy a new SS about 10 years from now, but after the v8 Commodore disappears there is really nothing left in the line-up that interests me. I'll stick with my home grown SV6 thanks, I'll buy a few donor cars when they're cheap...
