    Sump vs

    I have a leaking sump. $500 later or do it myself. With gasket @ only $25. +Sealant. So jack on sump I have done; in order to change ny vs comm, passenger side engine mount, successfully. Since its the sump to come out. 1. Drop oil. 200mm height gain needed approx? Will the exhaust cope with that?

    Broken Odometer

    Old worn brittle rubber cogs (sun gear) for the odometer/ tripmeter and maybe, just maybe, worn weak motor cores, that are also aged by 20 years. That have lost field strength. Yet good luck trying to get them to sell you one.

    Vs exec series 2 sedan. And Same drama.. And $25 later..for new sun gear. Yet Still no odo or trip meters. **** no! Well could it be the motor core I wondered. My first thought was, circuit membrane and damage to a track somewhere, but mine seems OK. Visually and according to a multimeter.. Old...

    Yes I have replaced several. @$25ea. They should last 10 to 15 years. Not just 200,000kms as someone said to me. In terms of publications on the VS 97, there is the GMH revised edition or CD. The other three are much of a muchness. Max Ellery, Hanes and Gregory's. Just another end of days...

    In the top picture larger sun gear and jockey gear; piggy backing. Looks like a genuine manufacturers. Yes to save confusion we say sun gear for the little one. Never mind.

    Larger one is the sun gear with smiley face and gear on the back. I call the little one a jockey gear. But sun gear is born! It'll do.

    I wonder also if it is important enough that the trip meter and the odometer MUST be synchronized so they turn over new numbers at the right count??? On the 9 to 0. Just as a new number turns over on the odometer. Just a thought. The cmd TTL chip may tell, I wonder..? This would require tuning...
