Thanks to a few good people on here that gave me the encouragement to get it fixed. There were times when I felt like chucking it in. It took over seven months to get it back, included getting the motor done up. Thank you all.

To anyone who is interested in how my Commodore is going, especially those that tried to help,VC, TM and others. It has been started on, I took it into the panel beater on Monday, 18th, will post some photos if I can when I get it back.

Have a VL V8 that needs a rear main seal. I was talking to a mechanic that said he could put a new one in by dropping the transmission, is this possible. Have been told by most that the motor has to come out.
