You have the 345 diff, wheel circumference 501 x 345 diff ratio x 40 teeth divided by 10 pulses per rotation = 6914 per mile x .695 (your speedo) = 4805 rotations per Klm. Set all the dip switches to "OFF" except for number 5, set to "ON". That should sort it.

The stripe down the side is an aftermarket stripe put on at the dealers by a local stripe guy. Probably thought the little motifs added some flair.

I believe that's for Video input. Either a DVD stacker or most likely rear camera.

You can continue to use the original mechanical speedo, using an electronic to cable drive adaptor/converter. It's called Cable-X. Google it.

Yes they were Eurovox, badged Holden. VB VC VH VK VL VN VR VS etc etc were all Eurovox, no Blaupunkt.

It's not from any of them, or it would be badged Holden... this one is badged Eurovox, so it's aftermarket. The closest match for this would be VB to VH although they didn't have the digital display except for the Brock Group 3 stereos, which of course had Peter Brock on the flap and red...

Pretty sure the problem will be wear. the drag cup spindle bush and/or the cradle bush have worn to the point where they lose the close tolerances and bind the drag cup and magnet. That's usually the fault in this type of problem, and requires a full rebuild of the speedo.

Sounds like you're not using the controller box that they had in them for electric aerials.

No aftermarket front lens for the VK unfortunately. Wish there was though.

To rewind the temp gauge and repair the clock (2 x capacitors) shouldn't have cost any more than $80 - $100. The problem usually usn't the instruments though. It's often the solder joints on the back of the socket on the PCB need to be resoldered.

Don't change the globe for the charge light. You need the incandescent bulb left in to complete the exciter circuit for the alternator to charge.

Any instrument tech can re-calibrate the tacho from 8 to 6 cyls. Takes about 20 seconds.
