Not really planning to go a huge conversion route, but would like to manualize the l67 if i got it.

Took it down :) Nothing is apparently wrong with the L67, but are they reliable engines if kept in good condition ? I'd probably even return the pulley to stock.

I think the low km Calais is genuine, the dealer says the log books are complete, but going from 5speed's i know i will want more power out it. The Supercharged is owned by a female, is it definite that i would have to rebuild the L67, what are they like in terms of durability ?

Just another update, drove to work this morning and the car was oddly fine, shifting up or down, so im leaning towards clutch cable which replacing tomorrow.

Seems impossible for me to think its the syncro's in mine as i have had it for about a month and was completely fine, then my clutch pedal got harder and harder to release smoothly, also it shifts almost perfect up gears

Just an update - Now when changing down gears in pretty much any gear it is grinding badly, i have to basically rapid shift the gear down, as soon as the clutch is released it goes away, i'm thinking definately Clutch cable is at fault not disconnecting the drive between the engine ?

I'm looking at doing this on the weekend, Does anyone know of a step by step guide for changing out the oil, from what i can see its a 17mm allen key bolt, how much oil do i need to put through ... just a bottle worth ?

Hey guys, Just an issue still with my manual v6 VR, it bites at the end of each clutch release making it impossible to smoothly shift, now when im slowing and downshifting (at the proper revs of course) its starting to make a grinding noise when putting it in gear, like the clutch isn't pressed...

I'm pretty much in the same boat, except my VR probably still has about 100k kms left in it. to supercharge or surcharge the cc's. :boxing: what are LS1's worth ?

Pretty close, its mainly shifting 1st to 2nd - if im at say 3500rpm 1st gear shifting up as soon as i push the clutch in it sorta feels like there is too much torque for the clutch to handle-very heavy pedal, the car jolts in a way, then after shifting when releasing the clutch even if i nurse...

no gurus that can help a red lion brother out ? ;)

Hey Guys, Got a little issue with my VR thats getting annoying, it runs fine and the clutch still bites strong, thought its hard to get a perfect shift at pretty much any Revs, unless i really nurse the clutch pedal out it basically bunny hops slighty, sometimes i can hear a quick metal sound...
