    16/10/17 build sv6

Looking at the list this is the very last SV6 wagon. It was built 17th Oct a day earlier than it’s scheduled 18th October. They all have this sticker under the front bumper, plus there are a few more similar stickers around the cars that show the SEQ(uence) number this one was 4186 of 4218 of...

    16/10/17 build sv6

Thanks for posting that list that type of thing is really interesting to see, but I’m a bit of a numbers nerd. I recently saw the white sv6 wagon 333280 SEQ 4186 at pickles. A beat up old ex marked police car that had already lead a hard life. The list above says it was built on the 18th October...

    16/10/17 build sv6

Just look under the front bumper for the sticker that starts with "sent for vehicle" top left corner and 2 lines under that it has a SEQ(uence) number stated. The last car was "LAST" and the second last was general assembly SEQ No. 4218 from memory. So if yours is SEQ 4100 then its about the...

Are VF's going to be collectables?

The cars were neither stamped in VIN order nor built in VIN order. After the metal shop and paint shop they were left to cure for several days in a big "hall" full of painted shells, before being fetched to go through to general assembly. The time the shells spent curing could vary, so a shell...

Do VF commodore still suffer from timing chain issues ?

This is why I like my old spare BF wagon. 2nd hand boxes are about $200-$300 and just bolt in and drive and the oil is $40 service kit $20, no reprogramming or vin matching etc. Haven't needed one but if it ever goes its not the end for the car. Few people ever think about little factors like this.

The values of these cars is not so much going up, its more the value of the dollar is going down. Over 20% of all the dollars ever created, were created in 2020, so it should come as no surprise it's taking more dollars to buy cars, houses, shares, farms, iron ore, food. Pretty much everything.

Are VF's going to be collectables?

Always need to think in inflation adjusted dollars. It may be the case that in 20 years a VF will be worth $1,000,000 and at the same time be basically worthless.

Dealer will probably say, "so Sir, given you've had such an incredible run out of this old worn out one, would you be interested in trading it in on this new left over Equinox?"

Future value of our LS3 Powered VF Series 11

The govt has no choice but to continue dishing out free dollars or else the economy will crash. All these economists might be predicting bad times when the handouts stop, and there would be if they stopped, but they overlook the fact they can't stop. The overpriced cars and caravans could well...

Future value of our LS3 Powered VF Series 11

I can guarantee all readers that there will come a day when these cars will be worth millions and millions of dollars, in fact there will come a day when they are worth billions of dollars each. But that's only because our future includes a bout of hyperinflation. When measured in real money...

Last Australian Built Holden - VF SSVR Vin 333644

Mine seems old to some of the ones here GA SEQ 3518 built 11-oct-17 so just under 700 cars built after it. Didn't need the car when I bought it but have always had Australian built cars (Holden, Ford and Chrysler). Bought it on a whim and thought when my BFiii wagon dies I'll start driving it...

Last Australian Built Holden - VF SSVR Vin 333644

One of the photos in WhichCar story the story shows it was General Assembly Sequence Number (GA SEQ)4210. Three cars before it down the line was a red SV6 sedan 4207 which is the subject of this movie. Close inspection of the movie seems to show red sedans after the red SV6 GA SEQ 4207. So...

    considering VF wagon

Ahh the BFiii wagon, awesome old cars, in Perth they have taken away the 8 year age limit on taxis, and the BFiii wagons that had hit the age limit and retired, are coming back again, there seem to be heaps of them again now.

    VF final build numbers/vin

The last of the special editions, Director, Magnum, Motorsport were all built on 10 Oct, all 3 in a row SEQ numbers 3419, 3420, 3421. It was a bit of an event at the factory and filmed for prosperity. Youtube movie named "Final Three - Limited Edition Commodores". The movie shows all of their VINs

    VF final build numbers/vin

They weren't built in the order of the last 6 digits of the vin. Although say a 333705 will definitely be after say a 325555 but at any point in time the last 6 digits would be in a range of about 3000. For 333705 the best way to work out how many were built after it is to look at the GA...

2014-2017 VF Series 2 SSV Build Numbers Revealed by Holden

Thanks for posting, interesting figures, looks like the 2nd last car ever, being the orange SS ute was the only one for the month, the 3rd last car the caprice was 1 of 5, and the 4th last the grey calais wagon was one of 8 for the month. I always thought those 3 were interesting choices and...

Production Broadcast Sheet of the very "LAST VF"

Yeah I just let it slide, thought there's more important things in life to worry about. Would have been nice to have but not really that important, the car was otherwise good with no dings/scratches etc so I was happy enough with that and drove off with a smile.

Production Broadcast Sheet of the very "LAST VF"

I asked for the build sheets to be kept in my car and the build stickers left on when I bought it, because they are a curiosity to me, even wrote it in the special condition. Kinda knew they'd ignore it though and alas they did. Turned up and the car was prepped like any other with all documents...

Production Broadcast Sheet of the very "LAST VF"

Thanks for posting, its interesting to see stuff like that. I remember zooming in on that paperwork on the last car Youtube video mainly to see the General Assembly sequence number, to see how many cars they built after mine which was built on the 11th Oct. But sadly the GA sequence just says...

when will last VF sell? place your bets

Some keen following of the last few cars there!!! When not feeling too lazy I sometimes go for an jog, and one of my routes goes past the Attadale one. They've always had plenty of new VF2 there and still did last time I went past, which was around Christmas eve. Always think to myself, why...

    Vin numbers.

They built all models right up to the last week, though the expensive V8s were the majority late because they cost about the same to build but brought in more $ per unit. Plus the V6 engine wasn't built in 2017 so the stockpile limited. Cars were built in order of the GA (General Assembly)...

how can 8 km knock $15k off a Motorsport?

Yes but its hard to prove, the dealership can just say the WAS price is full RRP plus full inflated dealer delivery plus the full RRP of any extras.

how can 8 km knock $15k off a Motorsport?

Just like the stickers on cars at many dealerships for example "WAS $45,999, NOW $37,999". Attempts to create the impression and illusion of a bargain. Invariably though the WAS price is absurdly inflated and the car never really WAS for sale at that price, and if it ever was it'd have never...

    Commodore Ute Drivers' Next Vehicle?

Don’t worry when yours is all worn out and sitting on the pile at Sims metal there will be other commodore utes that owners have kept as low km, garaged and pampered. Just buy one of them and use it hard until it’s on the pile at sims metal. Then keep doing the same again until retirement age.

    Vin numbers.

The cars seemed to built in sequence to their 4 digit sequence number. There is a footage on one of the YouTube vids taken at the factory on 10th october. A computer screen is shown with 9 cars sequence number 3412 (sequenced 10.57am) thru 3420 (sequenced 11.16am). The VINs for those 9 cars are...
