Hi Lex, it took about half an hour by the time I went through what I had done and what I had worked out. Then test the relays and establish that the relays were actually turning the fans on. Then it was a case of getting it up to temp and then we were able to see that the temp rose to about 96...

Ok so if anybody wants to know where the temp sensor is,it is in the left hand head up the front above the spark plug. This was the cause of the fans not coming on

With the air con on the fans are working

Pulled the relays out and tried to test them as a normal relay but got no clicking . Not sure if I was testing correctly, not sure if they should click but I assume they should

Ok as the title says can anybody point me as to where they fitted the thermo fan switch on a MW Caprice. I have just replaced the radiator that split the top tank and I now think that the thermos did not come on and this caused the problem. Thanks Norm

The clips are easy once you get a good look at them they are a standard "you bastard" clip

Was probably one of the reasons for Holdens demise bringing that rubbish into the country. They also brought those rubbish Opel motors and boxes and put them in Toranas and called them LH fours and Sunbirds because they could not off load the junk anywhere else in the world
