Yes they were - Holden Commodores delivered to Clayton with the sticker on, there are original photos around with them on.

No they didn't. There was never a Calais wagon, and the Berlina wagon used all black window door moulds - no chrome unfortunately.

They are all interchangeable size wise. The window moulds are clips with one tiny screw , the top door moulds are all screws, easy to remove but you will need to take the b pillar trims off first.

The heavy gauge bash plate is a police pack special, but every VX should have a thin galvanised steel air deflector attached the subframe.

I bought the bash plate from Commodore Wrecking on ebay (https://www.ebay.com.au/str/commodorewrecking) but looks like they are all gone, sorry.

I think the pattern is if it is a common item (e.g. oil filter) and you are in a metro area, then no problem. Spare parts or other speciality items (even brake rotors!) - forget about it. There are a couple of motor trimmers around here, but I really want someone who knows VT-VZ Commodores so they can get it looking OEM and factory fresh, not after anything fancy. Someone who knows the tricks with the door inserts etc.

Hi all, I came across someone a year ago that mentioned that VZ air boxes were the same as the VT/VX ones, with a bit of modification. If you have ones like my old ones, the flocking (furry black bit on the rubber where it sits on the door) will be old flaky and dirty. Rub all of that off and replace with new flocking tape and this will provide a paint safe dust seal.

I just did this to a spare diff today as well! Forgot it was there and flipped the diff on the concrete :( I haven't pulled it apart to see what the options, but if anyone has found anything new in the last 13 years that would be great!!

Maybe this isn't news to everyone but me, but I only just discovered that vt-vz door strikers are now available from the aftermarket. These went NLA from Holden a year or two ago and it's the first time I have seen them non-genuine. Time to fix your clunking doors!

Welp, only 12 months overdue, but back on the tidy up at last. Installed the Monroe GT Gas Reflex shocks all round, with new SuperPro poly bushes, did superpro rear sway bar links as well. Drives like a new car! I didn't realise how bad the old ones were - even with only 85,000 klms - 20 years...
