No power at ECU in VE

So today’s update, I’ve just borrowed an ecu from my mate that owns a local wreckers, plugged it into my car and I now have power at my ecu and ignition fuses. There are still a few fuses without power but I’m thinking this is just because this ecu will be locked to a different car as it is...

No power at ECU in VE

Yeah I thought that might be the case, I did notice yesterday afternoon though that since I’ve put that wire from pin 86 on the power train relay to ground I’m now getting a code on the dash “engine immobilised”. Code wasn’t there before. So if I can get someone out to clear this code now while...

No power at ECU in VE

Also I did check the fuse box terminals for the relay and they appear to be fine, don’t look damaged or stretched in anyway and the relay is still a nice tight fit

No power at ECU in VE

So I checked the fuse that had no cover in the boot and it was still okay but I replaced it anyway with a new 15A blue fuse, definitely power there, so should be putting power to ecm. I’m starting to think maybe ecm is no good too, has been sitting around for a long time not that I thought that...

No power at ECU in VE

So I’m playing around with the car at the moment and I’ve been ******* around with the power train relay, it’s defintely working, tested it across a battery and can hear it clicking. I’m getting power in at 87 and 85 and I’ve dodgied an earth wire from pin 86 to ground and finally I have power...

No power at ECU in VE

So the fuse in the boot was not blown when I originally checked everything the first time but has since blown, not sure why, have disconnected and reconnected the battery a few times and unplugged some plugs etc, could be it but anyway I’ve since replaced the fuse and still no change. It’s...

No power at ECU in VE

So, I’ve tested the jump start point under the bonnet, there is power there. I’ve tested the + terminal on the alternator, there is power there. I’ve test the lead that goes over to the front of the fuse box, there is power there. Still same issue, no power where I want, only power to some of...

No power at ECU in VE

Relay is fine, at the moment I have my mates fuse box from his 07 GTS in there and still no difference. The fuse box is properly in the car how it would normally be and I’ve run all harnesses how they should be but issue is still occurring. And yes checking fuses with test light, have also...

No power at ECU in VE

So I’ve checked the power at the R13 relay and it’s only getting power to pins 85 and 87 at all times, no power at pin 30 at all. Yep all chassis and engine earths are definitely on.

No power at ECU in VE

The ones that are concerning me at the moment are the ones along the very left hand side of the attached photo (F25, F28, F32, F35, F29 & F33) none of those are working BUT the F36 fuse location down the bottom that does nothing is working. There are others that aren’t working but can’t...

No power at ECU in VE

It was bolted in like normal when I discovered the fault but I’ve since removed it and pulled the fuse box out to look at wiring to see what else it could be.

No power at ECU in VE

Hey guys, I have a VE that I’ve recently put a rebuilt LS2 into. The harness has been connected and all plugs are plugged in, everything appears to be good to go but I’m not getting any power at my ECU fuses in the fuse box. I had the test light out the other day but it’s only lighting up for...
