I replaced mine with the Calais one. Looks tidier now imo. I would have loved screens all over the dash once... when I was 8. ;) I just hope there's no other settings that I'm going to need the screen for. :eek:

Series 1 only. Don't know if SII is in the works. I only found out about these as I was thinking of selling my VE and getting something completely different. Looked into what stereo/fascia upgrades could be done to other cars and the VE one popped up. So decided to hang on to it and do the upgrade.

Fitted mine today, first half hour or so was pretty easy but after that became a PITA. Installed a Pioneer AVH-A205BT touchscreen/Bluetooth head unit. Problem is no steering wheel controls. The handbrake has to be on (it is) to get access to the menu but it's shaded out. Guessing there was an...

I got the Pontiac front smokers pack a few years ago. I don't smoke, just needed the socket for a bluetooth unit and the flip up lid looks tidy. Don't remember exactly but think it was about $70.

I checked the tools, looks like I've already got the bits to unwind it. At a guess I'm only missing the hanger (and nuts to fit it) but didn't know if there's any other parts underneath needed.

I've wondered about that myself, such as a Chev grille with a lion badge. I actually like the look of the grille, just not the badge.

I could be wrong but I think it is for calls only, not music. That seemed to be the case when I looked into it for my Omega (which also has the phone button on the steering wheel), might be different for the SS.

Letterbox grille has no badges. Only thing is just about every second VE has one these days.

My VE ute had a Chev grille on it. Bought a 2nd hand Holden grille before I bought the ute.

Found the listing. It says they're on back order and won't be available until August. So you're actually getting taxed to get it the same time stores will have it.

From what I can gather it looks like silver ones aren't in the country yet, so mid to late August sounds about right. At least it gives me a chance to save some shekels.

O2 sensors maybe. I have to fill up on 98 octane to keep mine off.

Retail $300. Plus the cost of the headunit and harnesses obviously. So far only seen the black ones. Black look better than the silver ones but I don't want to have to upgrade my center console to match it (seriously considered it though).

I've been keeping an eye on these for a while now. Looks like they've finally arrived in Perth. Will be getting one as soon as I can scrounge up the cash.

Could be the front strut mounts. Mine was creaking recently and just put it down to the spare tyre moving in the tub. After a service the mechanic said it was up for strut top mounts. Got them done and hasn't creaked since.
