Hey Robbo, did you try changing the Transmission fluid? I had a similar shudder- vibration that would kick in occasionally around 60km at 1500rpm. That clunk, getting that fixed not having to hear it, fantastic.

Is the grinding noise worse when reversing up an incline, or in first gear?

Yeah bud i had that same issue cruising at around 60km, 1500rpm. Others that had that problem it was the torque converter. With my vf2 ute we did a transmission flush and fluid change it hasn't returned. Although we did the plugs, coils and the 'clunk' from the driveshaft spline at the same time.

Yeah mate same on my vf2. When i removed the trim, There also seemed to be a decent amount of debris accumulated in the cavity.
