VF wagon, would you buy one?

You paid a premium but you know you made the right decision. Great car. Good luck.

VF wagon, would you buy one?

How much buddy ? But whatever you paid it's worth every buck. That's crazy low Klm's.

VF Evoke wagon 2017 110,000 klm for 17 K. Mad or not ?

Prices are slowly coming down. Good deals on some sedans in Perth. Sportswagon harder to find. I missed out on the Plum. Dude sold it.

VF Evoke wagon 2017 110,000 klm for 17 K. Mad or not ?

Some interesting info provided here regards the Evoke being a unicorn. It's loaded with some nice stuff considering it's entry level fleet orientated car.

VF Evoke wagon 2017 110,000 klm for 17 K. Mad or not ?

Yep, that's my one now. Picking it up Friday with new converter. I'm into it now for 11 K. Also I've noticed it's 260 Klm and not 275 K ? Very nice car actually, I might keep it. Ha ha.

VF Evoke wagon 2017 110,000 klm for 17 K. Mad or not ?

That's right, in this case the reason is 165,000 klm and two years build difference. Also it's the last year of production for the VF so that's another reason. I figure I can flip my present VF for 10 K and upgrade for 6-7 k out of pocket. I've then got a 2017 VF with 110 klm on it and I'll...

VF Evoke wagon 2017 110,000 klm for 17 K. Mad or not ?

I transgressed from a 1992 toyota wagon i had since 94 to the Evoke. Took me ages to work through it and the Tech was foreign to me. Someone on here said the seats were sh_it ?? I did have a good laugh.Explains why I'm very happy with my Evoke after the Camery.

VF Evoke wagon 2017 110,000 klm for 17 K. Mad or not ?

Exactly why I always default back to this forum. The love for the members rides is first class. A shared passion. Anyway, I'm going to check this Evoke out on Sunday. Let ya know how it goes down.

VF Evoke wagon 2017 110,000 klm for 17 K. Mad or not ?

When I want it to get down the road I use Sports mode, that makes a big difference. The guys who love the big motors will never be seen dead in an Evoke. I can understand that simply because I have mates that drink petrol. Myself drinks Coopers Sparling Ale and am perfectly contented. There...

VF Evoke wagon 2017 110,000 klm for 17 K. Mad or not ?

Why would that be then ? You love your high end models and that's all good but to dimiss the Evoke because its not is purely a personal opinion and has no real meaning. All good.

VF Evoke wagon 2017 110,000 klm for 17 K. Mad or not ?

My first Evoke I bought in 2019 for 12,500 bucks from a car yard.. Fleet car with tow bar and roo bar fitted, 2013 model with 175000 klm on it. Fitted a transcooler and down the road I went towing 1050 KG. Sold it after Covid and returned overseas for part of the year as I do. Time to...

VF Evoke wagon 2017 110,000 klm for 17 K. Mad or not ?

Spot on my friend, many people struggle with that concept. This will be my last ride hence I'm prepared to pay up front.

VF Evoke wagon 2017 110,000 klm for 17 K. Mad or not ?

The guy who owns this Evoke has made the fatal financial mistake of pouring a **** load of cash into a common Evoke in the hope of towing a van with it. In my correspondence with him it turns out he failed badly in his high school economic lessons and will learn an expensive lesson. 12...

VF Evoke wagon 2017 110,000 klm for 17 K. Mad or not ?

And that rolls down to the Evoke. The extra stuff one gets with the higher spec models I simply do not need. Others do thou and That's what makes this world go round and round.

VF Evoke wagon 2017 110,000 klm for 17 K. Mad or not ?

Either way, the VF is a hell of a car. Proved that when I towed that van 30 K. Simply superb comfort and performance level.

VF Evoke wagon 2017 110,000 klm for 17 K. Mad or not ?

There are 2 sorts of car people, there are the petrol heads who enjoy big nasty arse cars and there are dudes like me who see no value in them at all and am simply not interested. Hence it's the boring old Evoke for me. Just being honest here.

VF Evoke wagon 2017 110,000 klm for 17 K. Mad or not ?

That's interesting. Never realised that . Cheers. I'm here for the great info, Evoke or not I learn heaps from this forum.

VF Evoke wagon 2017 110,000 klm for 17 K. Mad or not ?

Let me ask this question. The vast majority of issues I notice on this forum is with the SV6 VF and other models of the VF. The Evoke hardly gets a mention, would it be a fair assumption to draw a conclusion that most members don't give a toss regards the Evoke and Evoke owners don't bother ?

Yep, I take onboard your info on the SV6. Thanks.

VF Evoke wagon 2017 110,000 klm for 17 K. Mad or not ?

Mate, when we buy second hand cars it's always a bit of a gamble, all we can do is go by the log books and at best get a mechanic to go through it. I'd love to buy it from my mum who always had my back but unfortunately she's dead.

VF Evoke wagon 2017 110,000 klm for 17 K. Mad or not ?

Just a bit of info on how well the basic Evoke went on my last roady. Punched out 30,000 klm and the only thing I did before that trip was fit a transcooler, it achieved 11 litre @ 100 KLM. Zero issues except the ones caused by humans wrenching on it. Such a brilliant car.

VF Evoke wagon 2017 110,000 klm for 17 K. Mad or not ?

Yer, I'd only have to do a gearbox in my old VF and it's a 6 K rebuild right there. I'm thinking that to upgrade to a 110000 KLM car for around 6 K upfront could be a sterling idea for me. Guy can't sell it at his price, most people would go the SV6 but for me it could be a nice deal. His...

VF Evoke wagon 2017 110,000 klm for 17 K. Mad or not ?

Dudes got a 2017 Evoke wagon with 110 K on it. Got 4 years left on car yard warranty which means ****. ! Full log books and all receipts for work just done on it. After market HD tow bar is 1200 and god knows what a arse end upgrade runs ?. He was going to tow so upgraded the rear suspension...

My new 2015 VF Sportswagon bought for 9400 with a cracked Torque converter. 260 K on the clock. Very hard to buy this car in Perth. Millions of VE around though. I'm very happy, this ones a keeper.

    High K's on a VF

I've just bought a 2016 VF Evoke wagon with 263000 klm for $ 9400. One week later the car went down with a cracked torque converter. Around 1600 to replace so now im into it for around 11 K. I'm happy with that, the car drives brilliant and dont expect much more than routine maintenance...

VF sv6 2016 Transmission Oil leakage

Oh yer, bought a brand new Holden VF Tow bar from Marketplace for 250 ,top deal except it's for a sedan. I thought it would fit my wagon ??? What a Muppet. Cheers

    What’s my car worth?

I'm going to tow a van with it and punch out maybe 30000 KLM so I'm very happy it happened now. One can expect this at 200 K up. Next will be alternator or water pump. Normal stuff innit.
  29. Terry57

    What’s my car worth?

    Oh OK, thanks

    What’s my car worth?

Just bought this. VF Evoke wagon. 2015 series two. 260000 klm. $ 9400. Turned out converter was fooked. Now + 1500. @ 10900. Still a good buy.

VF sv6 2016 Transmission Oil leakage

Something to add. Firstly i was not aware of the converter issue and had not read any posts concerning it. Just purchased a VF Evoke Wagon 2015 series two. 260000 Klm on the clock, 9400 buks. Had it 5 days now and other morn noticed a very nice bit of oil in the driveway. Off to my mechanic...

Yer well, decided to sell it and buy again when back in OZ. Retarded idea, should of stored it. Such a good car.

VF wagon, would you buy one?

I'm looking hard my friend, **** load of sedans on offer but hard to crack a Wagon that is low KLM and Mickey Mouse. I'll pay the premium and keep it this time.
  35. Terry57

VF wagon, would you buy one?

Yer, this is a brilliant forum but I tend to forget many of the members are only interested in the high end VF's.
  36. Terry57

VF wagon, would you buy one?

Considering the price difference between The Evoke and the Redline I'd expect the seats to be better but I came from a 1990 Camry to the Evoke so my arse thought it was in a Rolls Royce.
  37. Terry57

VF wagon, would you buy one?

Funny how some of you guys bang on about crap seats in the Evoke ? Fired my Evoke 32000 klm around Bogan pulling a van and my skinny arse loved the seats, no pimples , war wounds or tape worms appeared. Anyway, i reckon some of you guys are mommys boys and not on the money. Sold my awesome...
  38. Terry57

Torque converter playing up maybe. ?

That's exactly the noise it makes when low on oil, the oil heats up quickly, expands killing the noise. The noise is nasty and brings thoughts of W.T.F, this is gunna be an expensive fix which it will be if the gearbox is fooked. Just sayin.
