An inhibitor switch or nutual switch is what tells the car if its in Nutual or Park and if it safe to start the car. If you car is an auto yes it has one.

just means we would not want to buy your car...sometimes you have to give an engine a bit so as to keep it alive. leaving it to long will basicly casue the car to go to sleep then when you attach a trailer or try to overtake you find the power is missing becasue the ECU thinks it cant do it.
