    Scraping sound from handbrake

I recently replaced rotors and pads all around on my VTII gen III. Then the handbrake scrape started. So I have fitted the Hand Brake Scrape Kit; Intermittent scraping noises may be heard from the rear of the car while driving. The noise may appear to go away after re-applying hand brake lever...

    door

You could get a wrecker door and put it in the back of the car with the right tools so that when you get it open randomly like you did last time then you can quickly change it over then have time to work on your door before refitting it

Vz power window intermitent electrical fault

The multi switch on the centre of the dash is a known problem .. Since it sounds like your saying it's more than one window then it shouldn't be the windows motor... Get one from eBay and replace it your self.... You might have to look up the wiring diagram to be able to complete the circuit on...

How to Change the Oil in a VT/VX

I'm surprised people aren't changing their sump Washer every now and then.. .they are designed to create a seal by being crushed.. So eventually they will leak .. Also the best filter removal tool is a three pronged claw you can get on eB@# that fits onto your socket wrench and tightens as it turns

    help with VT doors

Had one door on my old SV6 that clunked when closing and was hard to close... hinge was good with the lift test.... turned out someone had leaned on it cause i lifted it enough to move the car and it bent everything back into shape and the door closed fine... cheap and quick :)

Replaced o2 sensors on vt ss and still throws codes PO133 and PO135

Just cleaned my sensors with a wire brush, sand paper and MAF cleaner and then swapped them over.... had better throttle response on a cruise straight after like some other people say but then the idiot light came on again.... at least I know now that it's the sensors and not the wiring earthing...

Freaking out!! Oil on top of gearbox?!

Sounds like you've got a vacuum leak.... check youtube on some simple methods to find where it is.... In some of the older cars I've owned its been as simple as spraying some carby cleaner on the vacuum hoses while someone taps the brakes etc with the engine running and usually I've found that...

best mods for vx supercharged v6?

What immortality said is basically what the cops did when they used this car .. So I'd say that's a pretty good case for making it the best starting mod! I used to own one of these SV6's and I much prefer the LS1 .. Sorry ... Great car though... Enjoy :)

Freaking out!! Oil on top of gearbox?!

First check for bubbles or oil in your coolant.... If found then don't drive anywhere until you've fixed the problem.... Then do a compression test (the tool costs like $30ish online) ... As far as I'm aware anything else isn't as urgent or scary? Just keep her topped up until you fix it... I'm...

    Putting back Standard Height Springs..

If you can wait you might be able to put up an ad for a DIY guy (on here or fuglyBook or Gtree) who wants lowered springs to do it for you for free by swapping them for his own .. Having a baby is expensive so it might be worth a try? .. Then you'd only have to pay for a wheel alignment ...
