    LSA heater hoses in Ls3

I purchased the VK heater hoses and have done put them down along where they will go and it will work fine. Just haven't got around to doing it yet. Slack I know. I did have 4 new Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S tyres fitted last Thursday though. So that was something.

    Install dashcam

I fitted one to my VF.. It was 2 CH so the rear camera takes a while to run. You have to be careful how you run the cable to not interfere with airbags. Pretty simple job

    Black oil after 2000kms

I have not done it on my LS3 VF, (it only has about 18,000km) have had sumps off on two Toyota Camrys that I have owned. I had two Camrys both V6. One I sold at 470,000km the second went to 503,000 km. I got both cars at around 70,000km. Both one owner and both had 10,000km oil changes. from...

    Mylink replaced

Well done LyLy. The worst thing about the VF2 is the rubbish map system in Mylink. My daily is a V6 Aurion and I fitted a Pioneer AVIC-Z930DAB and used an Aeropro kit to put it in. The head unit cost an arm and a leg and it took me about 25 hrs to fit but got there in the end. It is the best...

    Walkinshaw W engine upgrades

Exactly the reason, I have kept every OEM piece that came with my car. I only have a CAI but all the original bits are there to go back to stock. I also aqua dipped a few parts but purchased new ones to do so the OEM pieces are all still carefully stored. Upgraded the speakers but all...

What will my 2017 holden vf ssv be worth these days

So many for sale With 100,000 km it will not be attractive unless price is low And being lowered will put people off Unless done with good quality coilovers Having the original FE3 would help

    Wheel clearance for bigger brakes

Hey Ron, They look like the HF20 wheels to me. I had the 20 inch option fitted to my car when new by dealer. If they are HF20 then they sure fit fine. Mine are the staggered fitment. I think 8.5inch at front and 9.5inch at the back. Last time I checked Holden still had spare HF20 wheels at...

    VF2 SS - Black edition

I have had same thoughts You probably saw the layers of heat reflective foil I put on the RotoFab where you cannot see. I have also added a strip under the intake tube reflecting heat from radiator hose which I heat wrapped. I have thought some simple tube drawing air from some in front...

R There is also a dry version which I have. I will use my compressor to blow that one out when it comes time. Less mess and no need for ongoing cost of the oil.

    VF2 SS - Black edition

I have just clicked over 17,000km on my Redline purchased brand new in March 2018. My daily driver was a V6 1999 Camry touring edition. I got it at 70,000km and sold at 473,000km after 13 years as a daily driver. When I sold it last July I purchased a 2011 V6 Aurion Touring edition with 95,000...

    Oil pressure gauge kit

This one of the great things about this forum. I have thought about an Oil pressure gauge and and also an oil temperature gauge. This thread led me to the Autometer air drive system. I have been looking at Autometer as some look close to OEM. The airdrive guages if I am reading correctly use...

VF SS Cold Air Intake options - my take on them...

Here is some more photos from Post #67. Now that I have worked out how to resize the photos. :) This is the MAF sensor before I glossed it. You can see the difference compared to the "after" in post #67. Took the chance to clean the MAF This next photo shows some heat shield I applied to...

VF SS Cold Air Intake options - my take on them...

Hello Ron I purchased quite a few from different places. It is BSP 1 inch thread with a 25mm male push on which fitted the 25mm inner diameter hose I used. I got caught out wasting money and more importantly time ordering different ones which did not fit as the thread was tapered. In the end I...

VF SS Cold Air Intake options - my take on them...

Here is another Rotofab. I purchased the kit beginning of the year but only recently fitted it. I ordered the extra cover piece that they sell as well. I got the dry filter option. I got the extra cover piece, the OEM radiator cover, the intake tube, a flange that Rotofab uses to connect to...
