    Also don’t plug the unit in while the ignition is on. Always always turn the car off, plug it in, then turn on ignition. Plugging in while the ignition is on or car is running can do very bad things.

    I tried the el cheapo Bluetooth elm327 off eBay but they don’t work with iPhones even if the advert says they do. Tried a wifi unit from alltech, because it’s wifi seems to work fine with iPhone, laptop etc I use autodoctor app. Basic but good enough for reading codes and reset check engine...

    Rough Idle and traction control error reading

    I had check engine light with stability control turning on and off and a rough idle, the codes were for cyl1 and 2 misfire, was due for plugs and leads so changed them but still same problem. Swapped a coil from cyl3 to 1 and still cyl 1&2 misfire so got injectors replaced and all good again.

    I had same thing recently, shudder like driving over lane rumble strip only between 1500-1800 rpm on the freeway 80kph and up in 5th and 6th (VE SS). Was all preceded by heater hose blowing and engine getting hot. Started throwing codes for engine misfire cyl 1 and 2 so replaced plugs and leads...
