Hi All When you swap out a factory Trans, in the case I was, reading into a V6 6L50,(major torque converter issue ) some people say you need to have the new Trans "flashed over" at a Holden dealership What is meant by this?

Cheers , where is the second pump/motor for the rear washer located? I know the front one is behind the radiator mount Assume same type pump is attached to the reservoir bottle for both rear and front?

Hi All Mucking around in the shed today. Noticed in the middle of the rear subframe on my VE Wagon potentially two bolts are loose They hold some rubber bush on by the looks of it Can anyone advise what this part is and if these are in fact loose. Looks like a weird Totx or Hex head bolt Cheers

Hi All Looked through the threads however cant confrim , does the VE Wagon have one or two window washer pumps? I.e one pump for front windscreen washers and a second for the rear window? Front is working however not rear, cant hear anything. Might be pump or blown fuse?? Cheers

Cant remember. I got Holden to do it for me. They had to replace the whole loom/washer hose section as with everything at GM you can't purchase just the one part.

I've also noticed Genuine Holden GM NOS part prices had gone through the roof. Dig around on eBay and see what you can find is my advice.

Thanks I pulled away the rubber seal that seats on the inside of the door at the top (must be bailey channel) and you can see where this applique clips into the door frame Looks like two clips are broken /not protruding right through the door frame so explains why it keeps coming away.

Hi @lmoengnr Do you know if the front & rear upper coil insulators with the step in them are interchangeable I.e they're the same profile for front and rear?

I seem to have this issue , steering a little stiff on low idle Once it gets warmed up all good. No leaks, just did a fluid flush last weekend haven't done any burnouts. Anyone know what a new steering rack costs for a VE?

Ring Holden parts give them the VIN and they will be able to advise. Then you can go GM or aftermarket.

For anyone interested I spoke to my local Holden service workshop Foreman today and he said it's best to jack the front of car up and turn the wheel side to side to get the best flush and this will take pressure off the pump.

Hi All Seen a few threads on VY's etc on power steering flushing Can anyone point me in the right direction or upload some photos of what hose I need to disconnect off the reservoir and what to block off so I can pump through & top up with fresh Dexron VI? Cheers

Cheers Gave it a firm pull, no issues either side. Only got all the struts taken off today. Will be reinstalling tomorrow. My mate os bringing over 4 new stretch bolts & nuts as I didn't know they were one use only.

Hi All Tackling replacing of the front struts on my VE Wagon this weekend. Just befote I jacked up the car I noticed what I think is a protruding bush from the Drivers side control arm control arm Can anyone confirm from the photos if this is stuffed?

I was told only gas struts will extend back up on their own. As these a GM hydraulic they wont do that. They have good resistance when pushed down and pulled up.

Online new old stock. Gave the shaft a pull and all good. Looks fine to me. What do you mean seen better days?
