    Best way to prime a Oil Pump after its been installed in a LS1 ..5.7

    im having the same problem with my vu just put the engine in all done corectly i expected a little bit of a rattle for a few seconds it just got worse over 30 sec ifilled it through yhe oil pressure sensor and bung to give it a deacent chance i just didnt want to damage an expensive engine

    it was procharged no pin key way it was just a normal serpentine belt withanother fromthe power steering . im guessing thats what happend from what i have seen but i wouldnt know its just worrying that my good bottem end withthe top of that and now im worried i might have brought the isue over...

    my opoligize but ofcouse ill take pics today the pistons are not to bad because only half the crown was hitting the quench the oil pump is impresiveand the crank jernels some have a 5mm step where they are egg shaped . sorry to be offencive , i was hoping someone could say diffinativly what...

    ijust got a cheap vu ss as a non runner and once i got into it it was a fully built engine and 4l60e built in a maybe decent workshop and the timing chaine had got into the oil pump wore yhrough it and the big ends went and the pistons were hitting the head only 1200ks i found paperwork big...
