VE Series 1 rear aux audio input connection

That's the most helpful info I have seen yet cewing. I would not have even looked at that page (no mention of VE commodore at all). I have seen the photograph of the side connectors on another post somewhere else but the details of the pin connections wasn't provided. Mine doesn't have the video...

VE Series 1 rear aux audio input connection

thanks MYVESSV8, as I stated above, I have searched the forums; if the answer exists, it is buried in a place that I am unable to find. I'm hoping that someone here has some more specific info on my query.

VE Series 1 rear aux audio input connection

OK. I have searched the forums and googled and ebayed with no real sucess.... The answer may be out there but it could take a month to read every single thread and every webpage to find it. I am looking for the correct connections to adapt/hook up RCA input into the VE series 1 headunit. SV6...

    VE SV6 Tyre Wear

45,000 km out of my potenzas with another 2,000 or so left on them. Changed early because I somehow cracked a rim. I put on a new set of CSA stinger rims and Hankook Ventus ME01. I left the rims 18" inch due to the sh!tty QLD roads....

URGENT! Mother's California Gold won't come off??!?!?!?

In my experience there is real difference in the results you will get if you apply the wax using different types of material; damp terry toweling is best for application (as the instructions indicated) microfiber is best for taking it off. I don't often bother with wax these days... I take the...

    2012 commodore visual updates

Does it look like the grill sections are shallower and less "throaty"? (image of ford falcon G6 flashes into my mind) I like the original front on the VE, I think it has looked great right from the start... wide, hungry stance...I think that a deep grill gives an "I'm going to eat you" kind of...

Anyone got an SIDI Car? Whats it like?

I've just been through the fuel records for my SV6 SIDI sportwagon. I've now done nearly 9000km and in my opinion it just gets better all the time. For the fuel use between 3141 km and 8291 km on the odometer (5142 km) I used 549 litres of fuel so my average economy was 10.68 l/100km. That is...

    Air Conditioning

Interesting proposal...how long would it turn off the compressor for? I would think that modern components these days should be able to run 24/7 with no issues.

    Air Conditioning

I am aware of that, condensation forms in the system because the air temperature is lowered below dew point, this condensation drips out through the drain and pools beneath the car. On this particular occasion, the quantity of water pooled beneath the car was ABNORMALLY LARGE, as I stated. Also...

    Air Conditioning

I had the same thing happen to my SV6 last week. about an hour and a half into the trip, it started getting warm. Some time after I later stopped, there was an abnormally large puddle of water under the car. When I took off again, no problems, cool again. I'm wondering if the condenser might...

where to get this grill from

if you want the ricey aluminum mesh you can buy it at most of the auto stores. There is also an abs plastic mesh (honeycomb rather than stretched alloy) that is more like the genuine thing. for example ...ebay:- honeycomb race mesh items at low prices on eBay.com.au

cant decide which wheels need help

I like the stock rims too...I've been thinking about powdercoating my stock sv6 rims black and having the silver face of the "spokes" left silver The powder coaters will do it for around $50-$60 a rim. Only problem for me at the moment is wheels to put on the car while the rims are being...

The process would be the same as for the holden badge, check the thread in this forum for the "Black Holden Badge" http://forums.justcommodores.com.au/ve-holden-commodore-2006/124465-black-holden-badge.html :beer chug: chill man!

    SV6 VE Brake Pads

shudder during hard braking, most likely causes: 1. ABS is doing it's job and pulsing the brake boost on and off to prevent lock-up (felt mostly through the pedal and no shudder will be present at lighter braking) 2. Rotor is warped (steering wheel is likely to oscillate left and right...

SIDI VE 3.6L V6 Engine View

Probably right ...but you are not gonna live in there :spot on:.... you shouldn't need to spend too much time in the engine bay these days unless you are going to do a lot of work on the engine yourself (my complete respect to the people that do - and the techs that look after my car). Considering buying a sidi SV6

My sidi sv6 sportwagon is about to clock over 5000km and is averaging pretty close to 9.5l/100km combined, that's not too bad considering I like to use the power at hand fairly often without being a hoon. It hammers along nicely, and the sound is great when you let it dig in it's heels...

    VE SV6 brakes

    VE sidi SV6 fuel economy

I put mine in for it's 3000 km service today. I was surprised to see that the engine oil wasn't changed, just checked. So I had a look at the service schedule.... nope, they don't replace engine oil, just check it...as per the Holden schedule. So I guess if they use thicker oil, it stays there...

    VE SV6 brakes

about to go in for 3000 km service tuesday next week and I have noticed some brake squeal at low speeds...car park speed. I'll get it checked and while I'm at it ask about the software upgrade that is being reported to hold up the delivery of MY10 Commodores.

plastic engine cover on MY10 sv6

I believe that the main reasons are firstly noise reduction, and secondly as an "aesthetic enhancement". In general terms, the first reason is fairly well supported scientifically; but the second reason is clearly subjective...some people like their engine's bare some don't. A couple of links...

    VE SV6 brakes

Get them looked at, probably it is the wear indicator tab that is contacting the disc. It is possible that a rock has bent it and causing it to make contact, but just in case it is something worse like shagged pads, I'd want to make sure..... the cost of getting it checked is far far worse than...

VE SS-V YOM 07 LSD or NOT?

How many Kms do you get to a tank?

I'm picking up my SV6 MY10 in the next week or so. From all accounts the SIDI 3.6 V6 is about 15% more economical than the previous model, with more power to boot. As far as auto or manual, unless you REALLY, REALLY want a manual, you probably should stick with the automatic, as the programming...

    trap speed feature

I'm not sure about on the VE; but on the VY with the trip computer programmed to police mode (i.e digital speed display) the trap speed function would simply freeze the digital display at the speed the vehicle was traveling at when the button was pushed.

    VE SV6 "clunk"

I was thinking back even further, my current car (until my SV6 MY10 is delivered) is a vy. I know the spring issue existed on other types too, like the adventra for example. I had a similar suspension noise back during the warranty period on my car, but at that time it was a bent link pin...

    VE SV6 "clunk"

I seem to remember something about the coil springs "sticking" a little on the struts on earlier models, where the spring would settle back into it's normal position with a clunk at times when driving. Perhaps it is something like that?
