    VF or VE series 2

Stylistically, how would you compare ? ( I prefer the Grille in the VF2 Evoke to it's sibling designs !! )

I will never buy a new Holden again "ever"

I'm more than happy to pay the relatively miniscule financial / environmental / maintenance etc costs associated with 'stop/start' technology, for the few negative reasons already touched on, and perhaps more importantly NOT to assist manufacture claims re: fuel usage.

    Fuel Slosh Sound

Vf tank same as Ve ? ….. with a much cheaper purchase price for VF { moreso for Calais, as I seem to recall )

    The Sportwagon

I've had my Sportwagon for 11 months and am very pleased with it. The rear view access is a little restricted compared to previous drive { Subaru Outback } but, I love the 'truthful' wingmirrors. P.S. Does the drivers internal rear view mirror slightly 'enhance' ( fatten, not magnify ) ?

    Door trim inserts

Yeah. was always suspicious of "Not removable - welded instead" advice, as far more expensive procedure than 'insert tabs'.

    Sv6 or Calais?

    He did !

    ( V8 ) Supercars

Yeah, going back a little earlier to 1981, there were 60 starters ( compared to only 25 ? yesterday ) and the sound of the race engines of Bartlett's Camaro / Brock's VC ? / Johnson's XD etc contributed greatly to the spectator experience, compared to the almost anaemic and homogenous sounds of...

    ( V8 ) Supercars

Have always been told that ZBs cannot fit V8s What are the Supercars running ….. 5 litre ? ( Currently watching Bathurst …. ZBs look great )

Thinking of putting the stock springs back in my VFII Redline

Hilarious !!! The same could be said for all other manufacturer designed componentry. Why 'take the risk' with any mods ??? ( BTW …. a little tongue in cheek )

New family car - Subaru ?

My last vehicle before the 6.2 VF was a 2016 3.6 litre Outback. What a great car ! Compared to the Holden, it seemed a more 'solid' build with better overall quality of componentry and finish; I clocked 60,000 klms in 18 months. The things I do not miss, again compared to the VF - road...

Deciding what to get VF or VF series 2.

Wish my '17 Vf had a cd player.

Adding a Rear Spoiler to Evoke

"Silly" is very subjective. My VE Calais had a boot spoiler without any additional bodykit and it looked 'great'...… so, I was told.

    Harrop Stage 1 Upgrade

Looking at doing the stage 1 Harrop upgrade after 7,000 klms. Low rev power seems so constricted ….. Any feedback would be appreciated. Difference in fuel consumption, place in rev range where increase in power is most noticeable etc and more importantly to me - any perceived increase in...

when will last VF sell? place your bets

In other forms of retailing, something that has sat around for a few years waiting to be purchased, would be known as 'NOS' (New Old Stock)

when will last VF sell? place your bets

RRP is no longer relevant. The market will dictate prices for 2 year old 'NOS' VF Redlines, as it would for say ….. a 5 year old 'NOS' Hyundai or a 47 year old 'NOS' Phase 3 Falcon. 'Asking prices' would be more appropriate, which would be a better approach to a deal for the buyer.

when will last VF sell? place your bets

I know the last Senator is not a ‘limited edition’ as such, but if I was allowed to spend the money .... Classiest looking version by a long stretch.

Vf series 2 moulded boot liner

Perhaps / probably .... Made sense to me when I negotiated to have boot liner thrown in as part of the deal.

    Hesitant Ls3

Yes, it sat on the dealers lot for bang on 12 months .... Car is booked in for 1 month Complimentary service and oil/ filer change next Monday, I will log faultering on acceleration issue with dealer. P.S. one benefit of purchasing vehicle late 2018, is car qualified for 5 year factory warranty.

    Hesitant Ls3

New Auto Sportswagon with 1200 ks on the clock …. In retrospect, I 'foolishly' mothered it a bit during the 1st 1000 ks - manual says "moderate acceleration in low gears" or something to that tune. I was born with 'light feet' and guess my idea of 'moderate acceleration' is less than others...

SV6 Commodore seems to be bursting with power on a cold start

Only had my VF for 1.5 weeks and the differences between it and the Outback it replaced are immense ( another thread hereabouts I think, to contribute to ) one of the more noticeable, is how quickly the VF reaches operating temperature.

LS3 Running in and oil change.

Took delivery of my Calais V Sportswagon Ls3 2 days ago, with 35 klms on the clock; now 198. The manual has pages out of order and others missing, most disappointingly - the section relating to 'running in' is missing. ( dealer was disbelieving until I sent photos; another manual is in the post...

when will last VF sell? place your bets

'The last 2 Falcons' or the 'Last 2 Falcons registered' ….. How could it be known when the last is actually sold ? P.S. I bought a new VF a couple of weeks ago.

What deal did you get for your vf series 2????

Car has left the dealer .... expect delivery within a fortnight. I do high ks, so expect complimentary / 1000 k service will need to be booked within 1st 2 weeks of ownership, but 1000 ks is still 1000ks, hey. (Had always intended to have oil and filter changed at 1000 k service. )

What deal did you get for your vf series 2????

This is now a very old thread - had to go searching in back pages; not many 'deals' now being done on new VFs ! Just signed the dotted line for a VF CalaisV series2 6.2 Sportswagon in Son of a Gun. July '17 manufacture, delivered to dealer November and has sat in showroom / under cover ever...
