    [QLD] Vn heads on vr

vn heads are different to the later heads i had a vp calais that was duel fuel and gas killed the heads even though they are supposed to fine and couldn't for the life of me find a set of vp heads so went to the local engine re-conditioner and bought what was supposed to be a set of vp heads...

braking on down hill vibration vz commodore executive

Did you happen to have your wheel alignment after you changed rotors if so they may have used a rattle gun to tighten your wheel nuts and warped your new rotors, happened to me. Bendix sent out a memo to brake Repairers to not use rattle guns as it may warp the rotors. which i found out by...

    Upper Cylinder Cleaner

May be different but when i had my vp a mechanic did the upper cylinder clean with the subaru cleaner(seems to be the go to stuff) used a full can sprayed into the air intake at the throttle body. Not something you want to be around as it is toxic as hell, made no difference with my car as it...

Need advice how much would an immaculate 2004 VZ series 11 full leather with 114000 original kms be worth V6 cheers all

The series II was the first thing i noticed. There was a VY series II Berlina for sale at a car yard here for a tad over 9k with 235k on the clock and god awful after market rims and it sold.

    Boot won't open

Just went out and had a look at mine the handle is actually inside the boot on the drivers side at the top. you need to open the seat hatch feel up on the drivers side about 3/4 of the way to the top. if that doesn't work you may have try to fit through the rear seat hatch and with a torch see...

    Tyre size VP series one

My VP Calais was a v6 put the stock steel wheels on it from the VN when i put the alloys on the VN to get new tyres and couldn't move the Calais as something was rubbing sounded steel on steel from the front so i would guess the v6 also got larger brakes
  15. Whiteshark68

    Tyre size VP series one

The tyre sizes you quoted are indeed the factory size for anything on steel rims but as soon as you add alloys to the mix the tyre size jumps up to the 205/65R15. I had the 185/75R14 on my vn with steel rims and when i got my vp calais with the factory alloys the tyres were the 215/65R15 pretty...

2004 WK statesman - weird headrests and alternative headunit? Thoughts?

Afaik the statesman headunits are the same as all berlina and calais headunits as long as it is a 6 stack it should be the same. pov packs came out with a single disk headunit that is not compatible with higher spec vehicles

Advice needed. Maybe some reassurance and a hug. Crewman Just Got Rear Ended

Sorry to hear about the crash but thankfully nobody was hurt. You will probably find that your market value has increased a fair bit as i found out when i got a quote last week i had thought the market value on my car was around 2.5k but turns out it is about 5.1k, market value has been...

Does my 2001 L67 VX Berlina Have a LSD?

Also because your car is a berlina it has traction control if you do not turn that off the car will behave itself even in the wet i know my vt berlina without the traction control on was nearly impossible to keep pointed in the correct direction in the wet and pretty sure it didn't have a LSD

Clunk from rear drivers side wheel.

To find out for sure take the car to your nearest CV joint repairer it cost me about $170 for him to replace the whole shaft but it isn't something you will pick up by seeing if anything is loose as the ball bearings in the joint sort of get a flat spot and you only get noise when you are...

    Weed spraying

I find that if you look at the glyphosate ratio if it is under the roundup ratio of 360g/l glysophate it's pretty much useless but at the same ratio even the cheap stuff works as well as roundup and only costs around $10 a litre for undiluted

I have been watching cars prices not just on holdens but pretty much any brand and the prices are still insane up this way. last ridiculous car price i saw was a VZ calais with nearly 300k kms on it for over 12k at a dealer plenty of VE calais' at dealers with them wanting 20k or more for 2006...

Burned discs not working in my 2002 VU stock stereo

I think your problem just might be caused by i-tunes. i-tunes usually uses aac format and if i remember correctly not a lot of players recognize that format. i have always burnt all my cd's using mp3 files and they have worked on each of the cars i've owned with a cd player.

Why you need choice of repairer insurance policy

I think the problem with poison ivy is that the original colour was produced in japan and the plant was wiped out in the whatever year it was tsunami and some painters in australia just have no idea how to colour match.

Yes i know these are flywheel kws i also know that the VT is a bit of a freak especially if you haven't driven one before the first time i drove mine in the wet without the traction control engaged it actually scared me because of the lack of traction and how easy it was to get out of control...

what did you do to your car today?
