I have heard of it. And aluminium would defeat the purpose of it as the main goal is to thermally separate the manifold from the engine. I wonder what his gains were like, surely they can’t be as much as something that keeps the manifold cooler.

It added a decent amount of height to my manifold, so be wary anyone fitting these as you probably won’t get your engine cover on without modifying it if you go above 12mm

If you’re gonna mock up a bonnet scoop it might be worth trying to make your own spacer out of wood or whatever MACE makes them out of, see how it goes.

Nevermind, just read your reply haha Do a bead of sealant that’s about the width of your pinky nail around the intake runners and the top of the manifold spacer, mace will show you best

You need the hardware that comes with it, you could probably email MACE and try and get the bolt pack and hose extensions.

Personally, the manifold spacer is enough, I wouldn’t bother with the plenum spacer unless you’ve got or are getting a CAI as you’ll get a sweeter induction sound :)

Plenum spacers dont really make a difference imo, atleast no noticible difference apart from slightly more throttle response. The manifold spacer however definitely has a decent increase in torque and fuel economy. It’s worth the $150 or so.
