I'm dreading doing it all over again after four days of pulling my hair out trying to work it out I have two other boxes here anyway might just chuck one of the others in less hassle
Dumb arse me didn't undo the torque convertor and just thought I could slip it in my mechanic said you got more chance of winning the lottery now I have to pull it all apart again what a goose he said because it's not in the shaft properly it's hitting the ring gear
Like I said worked it out anyway and if you look back was new today but someone started being a P,,,K when I asked first couple of questions like am I posting the right way and don't really need your opinion
When you change your auto tranny in a vs V6 from half bellhousing to a full bellhousing do you have to also change starter motor cause mine is hitting when car is running or just shim it
2 washers would do it between the starter and the block on the end of the bolt before tightening it cause that's really all the shim is doing by looking at the photo one each side or two I'm going to try it will let you know if that works
I put a new auto trans in my vs and starter motor sounds like it's hitting flywheel also box was different so wondering if this is why had gearbox with inspection plate new one is full bellhousing car runs but starter motor is making a rattling sound
