    L76 aftermarket cam/oiling question

Hi guys, So I got the car back together over the weekend and with the new LS7 lifters its running great. We decided to look a bit closer at the lifters and buckets from ebay and found that when the lifters are in the bucket, they can pretty much rotate freely around because the buckets are not...

    L76 aftermarket cam/oiling question

Quick update, The L98 valley plate fitted does have the o rings to block/seal the AFM ports. When we compared the failed lifters to the LS7 lifters, there is a massive difference in the oiling gallery hole. The failed lifters have a tiny hole, you would struggle to fit a pin into it. The LS7...

    L76 aftermarket cam/oiling question

Yeah I had them soaking overnight in oil. When we took the heads off (2nd time) we checked the position of the lifters in the trays and they were all still sitting pretty in the buckets

    L76 aftermarket cam/oiling question

Yeah we lubed up everything before it was installed, changed the oil and filter and made sure everything was good before we turned the key. Initially I thought it was 100% an issue with the lifter but the more I read about the oil system in the AFM series cars the more I think it may have been...

    L76 aftermarket cam/oiling question

Hi everyone, Ive got a 2009 L76 Statesman that recently has had a VCM480, pushrods, springs, lifters, buckets, DOD delete installed. The pushrods and springs were matched to this specific camshaft from VCM. The valley plate is a GM L98 plate. The lifters however, were ebay lifters claiming to...

    Help me waste some money

Sorry guys im not very computer savvy....So i bagged myself a grandpa spec stato, very tight, hasnt been abused, all the log books and jazz. Compared to my old (2011 ssv) this thing feels like a jumping castle, very relaxed & lethargic but forgiving. Box is pretty tight (insert innuendoes here)...

    Help me waste some money

Faark a supercharger would be insane! I looked at this cam & was pretty keen, was also considering the 480 or 360? I assuming if you slap a blower on youd still be wanting to upgrade the cam, lifters etc? Might be something to consider in the future..

    Help me waste some money

Fellas, happy Friday. Long time lurker first time poster... Am looking at a 2009 WM Statesman 6.0L (auto) tomorrow, 150k on the clock, 2 grandpa owners log books, etc. Essentially, I want this thing to be a neck breaker from a stand still. Lots of torque & acceleration but keep it stock as a...
