Finally fixed! turns out the 3 wires going to my cam angle sensor where exposed and touching each other, so i have taped them up and the car seems to be running well now!.

p.s the leads/plugs/coil packs where all replaced last year with genuine Holden items.

ok fellas since last post car is still just randomly cutting out, car has had the following work/parts replaced: New Fuel Pump New Starter motor Fitted Professionally done Minor service Air Mass sensor cleaned Throttle Cable replaced Car once again stalled pulling into home street yesterday...

Yeah We really hope replacing the starter will fix the stalling problem!! Most probably not going to put the old heat shield back on =/

The head unit was bought and installed by Autobarn, dad and I didn't even know that the starter was shorting out (being covered by the heat shield it was shorting out on) except for seeing sparks around the starter motor in the garage at night in the dark looking around the engine bay with a torch.

thanks for the reply :) , I Can try running it on 98 and see how it goes! The TB & TPS where installed by a reputable mechanic (Authorised Repco Installer) but the intermittent fault still remains, i can also have a look at cleaning the MAF!
