Download tunerpro RT then head over to pcm hacking, download the vl turbo bin in the Holden bins, then download the vl xdf in the Holden xdfs, copy over some maps just remember that it's a stock vl turbo bin, so if have a different cam and bigger injectors you will need to make some changes.

Have you checked for fault codes, could be a faulty O2 sensors, you can test it with a multimeter if you have one.

Have a look and see if the earth strap is in the cowl next to the passenger side bonnet hinge.

I don't have one on my VP and I've had no issues in the 9+ year's I've owned it.

They are the same computer they are both 808's, let it run for a little bit then check for fault codes.

Check for fault codes, write down the codes you get then pull the 20A engine fuse in the engine bay for 5 minutes, this will clear the fault codes then restart the car and let it idle for a minute or two, now drive around the block then recheck codes...

Good luck finding a tuner in Tasmania that will tune it, they won't touch a Nvram or tunerpro, you will need to do it yourself or take it to the mainland.
