Mace Engineering Remote Flash Tuning for Fuel Economy

It's a moot point since I've decided against the flash tune. Thanks anyway

Mace Engineering Remote Flash Tuning for Fuel Economy

Thanks bu Thanks for the input but it's not useful in this case. The commodore ticks boxes that no other car can at the moment.

Mace Engineering Remote Flash Tuning for Fuel Economy

This is the conclusion I've reached too. I have a throttle controller, but I'm not convinced it does anything long term. I think when you first install it you save fuel, but then you adjust to the new throttle behaviour and the fuel use goes back to normal.

Mace Engineering Remote Flash Tuning for Fuel Economy

I've worked out every 5% improvement in fuel economy will save me about $100 per year based on my usage. I contacted Mace Engineering but they were unwilling to give me any figures or estimates so that's why I'm here looking for user experience.

Mace Engineering Remote Flash Tuning for Fuel Economy

Hi, I'm interested in improving fuel economy and low/mid range torque on my 2011 VE 3.0L. Does anyone have experience with the Mace Engineering remote flash tune, and what kind of benefit it gave to fuel economy and torque?

VE Manifold Spacer and Fuel Economy

Hi, does anyone have any figures or feedback on how the 25mm manifold spacer affects fuel economy on the VE? Especially the 3.0L.

    VE current leakage

Yeah it was the boot lamp. Removing the fuse proved that

    VE current leakage

Hi, how much current leakage is nornal for a VE current draw? I'm reading about 0.5A with the key out of the ignition (has been out for 30 minutes or so).

    Question about modified intakes

Thanks for your input, but I'm confident of what I'm after, it's just how to get there that's the question. I'm not talking about removing mufflers here, just getting a bit more induction noise so that I can hear the engine better. I look for this opportunity in all my cars, if it doesn't...

    Question about modified intakes

That's a good point, I wasn't aware of that. So aftermarket cold air intakes that replace the resonator chamber lose this efficiency gain - do you think overall they would decrease power and/or fuel economy due to this?

    Question about modified intakes

The resonator boxes have the sole purpose of reducing intake noise. I want to increase the intake noise for my own driving enjoyment. I am also asking, in general, what do the aftermarket intake kits do about the MAF sensor and PCV valve?

    Question about modified intakes

Update: I think the right-angled line I'm talking about is the PCV tube.

    Question about modified intakes

Hi, I have a 2011 3.0L SIDI. I have seen numerous intake kits available, and at the minimum it looks like I could replace the resonator tube with a simple right angles tube to get better intake noise. My question is, for either DIY mods or I take kits, what do you do about the MAF Sensor or the...
