So... my VN doesnt have a purple/white wire from the ECU at all. Any ideas what wire i need to cut into?

I've just finished a manual conversion on my 1990 VN Calais V8. I used a 290 Getrag out of a VT SS. Everything went well but I cant seem to find any info on the speed sensor wiring for a getrag to a VN. The VN has 3 wires & the speed sensor has 2. Anyone know how to get the speedo working? Thanks.

How did you go getting the spedo to work on the VN with the 290?

I have a defected VT SS and want to put the getrag into a 5ltr 1990 VN. I've done all the pedals but need to know what troubles I'll run into with wiring. I've searched but can't get a straight answer. Do I need to change to a VS loom and VS V8 manual ECU? Or can I run the VN ECU and loom with...
