Hi just a thaught, there should be a nylon adjustment bolt at the peddel end adjust this to take up the travel.

Yep change the thermo sender it is in the block just behind the altinator, easy job, did mine two weeks ago and now works like a dream.

Well just for the record, I run a vr v6 on gas very econonical compared to petrol, shure you don't get the same Ks per liter as petrol but still heaps cheaper to run. depending on the price of gas at the time I am getting around 100 to 110 Ks per $10.00. regards kirk

I would remove the fan belt. and spin every pully by hand you will definately hear the offending one, I will put my money on your ideler bearing easy peasy, just remember it has a left hand thread. regards Kirk

if it is the surge hoses, you do not need to drop the tank, jack up the car rear right side remopve the wheel and inside the wheel arch you will se an inspection plate remove it and you will see all of the hoses etc, you can change theese hoses from hear. regards Kirk

Hi mate, run your engine till it reaches what you would concider the normal opeating temp, maybe go for a drive for 20 mins or so, then pull over and check if your thermo fan is running, could be you have a dicky thermo sensor. regards Kirk

I recently had my 93vr in the trans specialist, he replaced 3 or 4 big round rings, I think he refered to them as clutches, I could be wrong there, anyway he had the car for the whole day and $700.00 later all is good, so maybe a rebuild is a better option? regards kirk

Yes mate your original one is a vn one and the new one is from a vr, as far as I know it will just slot right on as I understand the wireing looms and plugs are the same. Just try it and see it is easy enough to do and if it dosn't work ( whitch is unlikley ) then just change it back. regards Kirk
