I've tested the mechanism while the boot is open using the remote, since, it actuates - clicks it open I see where you mean now, i wonder instead of bending it up a bit can it be adjusted up, loosen the screws that holds it?

yeah, the motor works everytime using the remote, but it isn't opening the boot, i was just saying the manual cord works this time because it didn't open the boot before the catch, the part where the wire rod hooks on?

ok, i grabbed an actuator and the boot latch from a wrecker.. wire and rod points are in good nick which i thought was a bargain $30, the motor works everytime, when i pull the manual cord it works this time, but not on the actuator, i'm wondering if the wire is too long can it be adjusted...

If i lift up pressure with one hand on the boot then press the remote with the other it will open Put a bit of WD-40 on the mechanism, didn't help Plus, when i use the remote it doesn't activate the release motor everytime, if i leave it for a bit it will turn on, is that normal?

Hi there, i looked at a VY ecotec for sale & after removing the radiator cap i saw some brown grit around the top of the radiator (couldn't smell oil or anything like that) would there be a problem lurking? the coolant was green.

I think the Alloytec was introduced in the VYs in 2004 weren't they? I want to avoid those like the plague and would like to find out how to tell the difference? On an online ad they pictured their VY's compliance plate, hard to make out ..
