I Have a series 2 dash cluster with a series 1 fuel sender unit...auto elec said he could fiddle with a tech 2 and fix it with no new parts..now 2 auto elec's and $250 later..both peanuts couldn't fix it and both say I need a series 2 fuel sender unit...SMH.

I stuffed up, I bough a ls1 series 1 sender unit for a ls1 series 2 dash cluster. Now do I need to Buy a series 2 sender unit, or just a part of a series 2 to swap over To the series 1 sender unit? ..PS can anyone give me a price range.

Thanks for the info,..I drove with respect for the car..HSV..and my instructions to the mechanic were, '' the best rotors and pads for street driving, but I've seen the price of rotors and pads on the net, so don't bite me to hard '' ..but I've had the back rotors changed and the front machined...

That's what I thought..I haven't been thrashing it..I drive quite carefully,..mechanic says rotors are buckled..''it happens all the the time and quite easily. When the rotors are hot, if you drive through a puddle they buckle '' the mechanic said..he wants to machine the rotors..but I think...

Well I paidover $550 for front rotors and pads. But in first 2 months felt like rotors were buckled, and the pads weren't grabbing properly..taking a lot longer to stop.. And never experienced brake dust like that..Only had new ones for less than 1year

Well I paid over $550 ..( + had other work done).. for front rotors and pads that lasted about 1 year..in first 2 months brakes fell crap, like buckled discs, and like pads weren't grabbing disc..took a lot longer to stop...and as soon as I got the new rotors and pads..brake dust every where...

I have a vy clubsport and the front rotors and pads ( I think) need changing.they are shuddering and not stopping very well, lots of dust...I think the last mechanic ripped me off...looking at Bendix, Vmax , Dba, ????...I'm lost, what is a good set up for $400 Max..any advice?? Thanks
