Single Mothers Whingeeing about Benefitsd on TT Last night

As an apprentice, I'd kill for $600 bucks a week! Just don't know how I'd go poopin' out a baby...

This has been my choice for a while, it's so appropriate especially for me. if not it'll be "Freebird"

    My Hk Prem

Very very nice. I'm a massive fan of the HK-T-G Holdens. I myself have a HT Kingsy in the works at the moment, not quite an aggressive/hot rebuild as yours, mine's a 4-bolt 350 with hydraulic cam, ally heads(when I get the money together!!!), built TH400, thinking of a tamer 3000-3500 stall...

Weird stuff picked up on a roadworthy

Well said Void. I always hear of people winging about a strict roadworthy, when I get a Roadworthy license (I will in the next couple of years) I will can anything and everything, you see some of the vehicles that get around on the road these days, they're just plain dangerous. Fair enough the...

How many gears are too many?

It'll all be CVT soon enough. 1 smooth, constantly changing gear ratio. You can't feel any shift points etc. cause there aren't any. They keep the vehicle in the best torque producing range throughout acceleration and give unbeatable fuel economy.

    Drug tests

Yes, I voted yes. But not all the time it would be too time consuming and a massive waste of taxpayer dollars testing everyone all the time. Make it like a random one, a little bit like the way they do it in professional sports. I work pretty hard for a ****ty apprentice wage, even with a few...

WRX common car on the road these days?

Haha, They're gettin' like a***holes, every c**ts got one! I work at a Subaru Dealership and got to say, there's a bunch of them around. I could easily live with one if I had the money, they're not a bad car. But I've got more of a soft spot for the old low spoiler, '99-'00 models, they're the...

    Know your cars?

Chrysler Voyager are a good car, maybe try a low-moderate KM usedy. But get an RG ('02-onwards) and not a GS(pre-mid '02). RGs are a much better car. (I work at a Chrysler dealership). A Tarago is a good choice, great for kids. My parents used to have one, a '92 (older bubble type shape) and it...

full tank of fuel on the road

When I first got my VT this happened to me, but I didn't notice until I got home to my driveway and smelt the petty. Stuck my head under and found someone broke the clips that secure the fuel lines on to the fuel filter and had just fitted them best as they could with cable ties. So I just got...

I'd assume as strut brace is a strut brace, so just ask around Pedders or other suspension shops and get whatever is the cheapest one I suppose.

    increasing compression

Hehe, is this a joke account? If not... GEEZ! In the past to increase compression I've bought a can of it from Supercheap (comes in a pressure pack) and squeeze a bit in through the spark plug holes. You just gotta be real quick getting the the plug screwed back in.

HELP! Struggling to find "blokey" things to do whilst in USA!

Yeah I was going to say, sample the local sports. They seem to make such a spectacle and big deal of their sports over there so even if you don't enjoy the sport that much it'd be worth going. I've always said I'd love to go to a Baseball match in Chicago/Boston/NY just for the atmosphere of...

Hey guys, just wondering how many of you have a last.fm account? Mine is another-face’s Music Profile – Users at Last.fm feel free to add. For those of you who don't know what it is, it's basically an online music community which lets you share your musical tastes with similarly...

    SP tools. any good?

I can also recommend Sidchrome for value for money and good warranty, as the majority of my kit is Sidchrome. Our old Sidchrome rep would replace tools under warranty no question. A lot of tool manufacturers sell tools under different brands so if you want to save a penny find out what these...

    SP tools. any good?

I've got some of the straight "snap-on" style ring spanners in my work toolkit and a 1/2" 500ft/lbs rattle gun and can't complain. Pretty much the best Air tools around that's for sure. A Workmate uses an SP 1/4" and 3/8" socket sets and doesn't complain.

It's that time of year again: JJJ Hottest 100

I voted some Whitley, Ben Lee, Lupe Fiasco, Against Me! and Kanye off the top of my head. I voted on the 1st so I've already forgot most of it.

    Another embarrasment for holden

All sorts of car makes have plenty of recalls, to only have 3 after being out for over a year and a half is pretty damn good. Also this won't affect every single VE built like so many are making it out to.

    Rediculous costs of concert tickets

It's the Venues I think. I listen to a lot of punk rock and indie music, so most of the time when I go to see a band (although they aren't as big and famous as The Police) it's usually at a venue that houses only a couple hundred people, and $40 is usually an expensive show. The funny thing is...

    What are you listening to?

Haha, I can't stand most grind, I don't mind BloodDuster though. At the moment, a bit of thrashy crossover; Municipal Waste, Nuclear Assault, Anthrax, DRI and some punkier stuff like Black Flag and the like.

    New brake rotors

Cost next to nothing for pads compared to rotors. When you have to get your pads eventually you'll more than likely want to get your near new rotors machined anyway(recommended). I'd replace mine for sure.

    all the holdens made

Roadpoacers? They still come under HX-Z Holden I would think. But the point that it is Aussie made, well they had 13Bs in them so they're not entirely locally made.

    Vinyl Records

Yeah I was gonna say Missinglink. Missing Link Records: Nine Inch Nails You could see if they can get it in, or is it out of press? May have to scrounge around eBay or on vinyl trading forums for it if that's the case. Or find a Nine Inch Nails group or forum somewhere. Try searching around...

    Anyone listen to 'Rise Against'

Rise Against is a fantastic band, great live band. Considering how big they've become they still hang on the their original sound for the most part. Revolutions Per Minute is by far my favourite by them. Some similar bands worth checking out: The Loved Ones (Probably the closest sounding band)...

    AFL Grand Final Poll

I voted Geelong, I think they're a quick team, very efficient, play it straight through the corridor and will get there in a close finish. I also hope Geelong gets it, to bring the cup back to Victoria where it belongs ;)

    Engine Oil

As long as it's the right grade for the motor (check manufacturer's specs/recomendations) you should be right. Brands and what not is just if you get fussy. Oil has to be of a certain SAE standard to be sold.

I think he means lower to the left of the motor, the steering idler arm? Not sure though.

    reving out

If it gets any worse look into the Harmonic Balancer, But if it's only slight vibrations at high revs, then this is probably not the case. A lot of V6s engine mounts tend to perish away and weaken, leaving the rear of the sump on the crossmember.

    Engine Oil

At work we use Mobil Synth S, for general, non performance models. It is 10W 40. Doesn't appear to have any problems. Looking at around the $50 mark. Penrite's equivalent oil would be a good value for money alternative.

    squeaky breaks VX

Depending on the brand of the pads, there should be a little metal tag (wear indicator) which squeals when the pad is low to manufacturer's specs. 7mm would be about 40-50% pad, where as 4mm for the rears is a little less, but remember the rear pads don't get the punishment the fronts get. May...

    Snapper have started for 2007...

I'd love to do more saltwater fishing, never caught a Snapper. It's hard being 2 hours from the nearest saltwater spots. Far too easy to just go down to the Goulburn or Murray Rivers on the weekend or after work during daylight savings. Love me a Reddie on the frypan. And nothing better than...

What Is The World Coming To. You Have To Read This

I agree with a lot of what you say I don't fear beatings, like I said, I'm not going to go around worrying about that sort of thing, life is too short. If it comes up, I'll deal with it then. But I don't care what anyone says, If I haven't done anything to anyone, then I don't deserve to...
