I am pretty sure you answered it in your inital post, just need to replace the door seals with the felt variety from VTII and later. FWIW you can buy a 30m roll of flock tape (the felt stuff) to stick on your exidting door seals from Holden but you only need about 3m to do both front doors.

got my acclaim wagon converted at 199,000 & still running fine 226,000. Had a few issues early after the conversion that required updating leads, plugs, o2 sensors and throttle position sensor, but other wise enjoyning the financial benifits
