To up the PSI a bit, a smaller pulley is press fitted onto the shaft of the snout (obviously the old one is pulled first). After this you will notice a very small improvement in low end torque and a bit more noise, both induction whine and rattle from the straight cut gears in the snout.

When I needed to do this on my commo, I just got a mechanic to do it. Would have taken me a while and there's a potential to stuff it up and keep you off the road for a bit.

Definately use graphite in the lock rather than a mineral oil. The mineral oil will free it initially but will build up scum and dirt. You'll have a worse problem later as that turns into a lovely grinding paste.

Cheapest thing is zippo fluid. The contact cleaners are basically zippo fluid suspended in spray gas. Runs at about $3 at the ciggie shop. Scrub with that, then use something with an edge to carve off the baked carbon chunks left over (very very carefully).

Probably the coupler, its an easy 30 min job to replace. The shaft on the end of the snout has a 3 pin jobbie that attaches to the gears inside the charger with a little plastic ring, with holes and so on in it. They are readily available on ebay, search for "L67 coupler", cost about $30...
