If carby get an aftermarket 4 barrel intake manifold and a Holley 465. Had this set up on my old vk sl 202 black and performed well. i think the manifold was a Redline brand one from memory. Before that it just had the standard manifold and Rochester Varajet2 carby.

It's just a big rectangular opening. As yours is an oval shaped opening I'm thinking it might've been for a manual and someone has cut it to make it suit auto?

The brown console is manual, the grey console is auto. With the grey one see the 2 horizontal slots at the top and bottom that is where the gear indicator slide goes into.

These are 15" hdt aero's on my vk with SL king springs and koni red shocks and with vt brake upgrade. Tyres are 225/60R15. IMHO on early girl commy's 15's look way better even 16" or 17" but once you start going 18" and up I just don't think they suit the early commy look but each to their own...

This b&m deep pan kit has the filter extension. It also has a drain plug and a 1/8" npt port to add a temp gauge. It says no changes to the standard dipstick is required and adds an extra 2.8L of fluid.

Here is the HQ style passenger side engine mount bracket moded to fit a HZ Statesman 11QT engine block into a VK commodore. Drivers side was standard.

I did this in my vk. A 308 from a HZ statesman but I already had a TH350 box which helped. You will need to source a commodore sump and pick up and passenger side commodore engine mount bracket will have the engine sitting crooked. When I bought the motor and box the motor came with a HQ style...
