I'll be coming into possesion of a VT berlina wagon around mid-year and just wondering what small mods can be done easily. Im thinking just body kit and exhaust for a better sound that would suit me nicely, anybody got some links for prices or any good sites?

Should i buy my dads VN wagon 5 speed manny not on gas for $1500, top condish, not on gas. Or.... Mates VN sedan 5 speed manny, perfect condish for $2500, on gas. I guess in the end my question is does the gas on my mates car outweigh a cheaper buy in my dads car?

It would do atleast 200, my mates EA did 200. My VC got up to 160 in the wind and rain. Didn't want to go any quicker as i could hardly see.

For a new car it's totally different. Private sales or even caryard sales are very easy to haggle down. Just have to be confident. Don't sound too excited about the car, maybe mention another car you had your eye on but like this one better if the price is right etc.

Can;t really give you any more help than you have been given already. It's all good advie to. One benefit is that it's an awesome job working with cars all day, and they just happen to be cars that i love.

Ask around here etc, you can find out quite easily and save loads of money. Some people don't realise how little jobs are cost so much in labour. Like getting a respray, people will pay upwards of 5 grand which is utterly ridiculous.

Just insure your car for like $1500 more than its worth, that would cover most sound systems.

There is absolutely NO WAY i would pay 2k even if i have done the prep work myself. Thats what the shops charge but they are doing it at about 90% profit, once it is prep'd all you do is stand there and spray a few coats on, do it yourself mate, seriously, even if you haven't done it before you...
