I tired to map out all the pins and where they switch, and after realising that one of the two main ones was for the lamps in the switch, I realised that there is another pin that does nothing. I opened the thing up, saw how it worked and now i've done a bit of a solder job and i'm pretty sure...

I went out and got the headlight switch with the pullout foglight switch on it to replace my standard one in my VZ, and I can't figure out how to get 12v out of it to switch a relay. There is an unused pin in between the white w/grey stripe and the black wire, and I can get 12v from that one...

It looks like it does go straight on, I went into holden tonight, got my SS bumper, and made sure before I paid for it that they confirmed it was a straight changeover. The guy was sure it did, so if it doesnt i'll be taking it back there for them to show me how to do it :) I just need to get...

Just a quick question, I'm thinking of putting an SS bumper on my executive ute. VZ of course. Will the SS bumper fit on with no worries, or are screws in different places etc.? Thanks, and I will be using this guide to help me to do the work, so just saying thanks again for the usefull guide.

I just had a go at getting it out the way you described cruzn, but no good. I just want to make sure that the pin i have to push in is hole about the barrel housing, in the front? I'd like to be able to get it out without drilling if I could:bang:

I also have installed an aftermarket HU about a year ago and found out I couldnt get to those options anymore, but thought there was nothing that could be done. If there is a workaround, I'd be very happy to hear about it, thanks:thumbsup:

Thanks alimpyer, I found that grommit you're talking about. If i didnt know to look there, i'd have never found it. Talk about hidden. anyway, the power cabling is in now, it would have been good to have it running along the same side as the battery but i suppose holden dont see it fit to help...

I was going to try and force it through the same hole as a bunch of wires already use, but i was a bit worried about induction into those smaller wires, or noise in my amp cable. i take it you didnt have any problems?

just writing to say that yes, i've noticed my cap is loose when i go to fill it up now, and twice ive smelt petrol. i click it once when i put it back on, but yeah, i have the same problem. and i've only done 10,500k's!
