I too have rang a couple of different dealerships to get the security code of the few stock stereo's i have had in my cars, and as long as you can quote the vin code of the car over the phone they will just go onto the database and tell you the code! No charge involved, if you do get charged it...

Had one fitted last week, whiteline strut brace. Definately needed the car hoist to complete the job. HAHA i agree retards, i was thinking that when leaving the pedders shop.

Have been told by pedders that struts will have to be removed to bolt on the strut brace, cost for them to do is approx $250.

The pocket breaking is a very common fault, I got a replacement pocket $ of 29 at trade, and like others have said ensure it comes with the clips.

Do the MCAI mod to your airbox, I have just done it and the car runs smoother and the sound is better once opening up on the road!

Can anyone tell me if the Genuine holden strut brace from a VY commodore will fit a VX commodore without any hassles?

Hey Chantel, the car looks great, and the photo's you sent me of the mods were also very helpful. Me thinks a set of engine covers are just around the corner.

I think the colour was the trial for the colour to be used on the monaro, apparently only 10 vx ss's were made in this colour.

I just saw it on the tv, he was a bastard, the RSPCA should go him for what he did, especially on national tv.

had the purple undercar neons put on, and I reckon it looks good!

I put purple neons on my vx and the result was quite good, pity bout the photo quality.

Thanks mate! Yeah the rims are 17 inch :thumbsup: . Fog lights, spoiler,extra s,2 more cylinders and a few interior differences, i'm pretty sure thats it.

I came out of work one day to find the car had been broken into stereo stolen, and centre pieces of the rims removed, but the trusty lock nuts prevented theft of the rims.

I agree stick to the holden service, but don't just look at one dealership, look at a few to compare prices knowledge etc.

Had a similar problem with my old vn a while back, the light would come on after a while and stay on. I had it serviced and it was an electrical fault in the drive train somewhere, i didn't ask though coz all i was interested in at the time was to get going again.
