^^^ I was hoping they would give me a new glory hole in the side of my block... It would be handy to be able to see inside the running motor ;)
Just for your info, im not actually building up a Procomp motor... I just know how much 'SilverVH' likes Procomp gear :p
how will my Procomp H-beam rods go when i am revving my motor to 7500rpm? they told me it will be fine at those revs. I am hoping to make at least 600hp
:p
^^^ Your kidding me, right??? Your comparing a V6 Commodore, to a XR6t??? You really have no idea, do you. A stock V6 Commodore, is slow as ****. A stock XR6t, is pretty quick, compared to alot of others.
Cheers mate. 383ci is closer to 6.3Ltr (about 6.27, to be precise). But nah, that is more money then i have to spend on the old girl right now, unfortunatly. I might be selling it soon. If not, itll be coming off the road for a long awaited overhaul.
Mate, you have hit the nail on the head... It seems that is the latest craze around sunny Brisbane. I hate those Alteza lights, and there is so many dam P-platers with them, and there fully sik body kits... That dont line up and are a different shade of white to the rest of the car.... With 15"...
Thats not good mate. She was a beuaty, thats for sure. I have a mate with a mint condition (and i mean mint, like it just came from the showroom floor) white VP SS, that would have loked to get some snaps aswell. I also know of another black VP SS (a mate of a mate) who we probably could have...
I have 3000rpm stall, and 3.08 diff... Come winter time, i should have 3.45 diff, and some nice cool weather, should see lower times. 14.2 would be good :)
Send me a PM with your MSN to mate. Itll be good to actualy talk on there.
Mine makes 152rwkw and runs 14.4 over the 1/4 mile :p
How ya been Foamy. Long time no chat. Hows that car of yours going? Broken into the 13's yet, unopened???? I reackon i could do it now with diff gears valve springs and a retune... Well, maybe, anyway lol.
I havnt been here for about 6...
Thought i might come on and update this...
The car now has a 3000rpm stall, has run 14.4 @ 94mph on a 35degrees day with a rooted ignition system... So with some 3.45:1 gears, some valve springs (stock springs dont like revving to 5000rpm, let alone 5600-5700rpm lol) and a more agressive...
yea radiator is up for grabs aswell if your interested. they are both still in the car, and if u want them, u will be required to come pull them out (with my assistance of course) but either way, let me no
and nah mate, it didnt have an electirc areal... that i know of :S
thats nice princess... lol
if u really must no, i got the gilmer drive coz i had a layby on at autobarn for a ute sub and amp for my old ute, but i sold the ute and instead of loosing the money i had already put on the layby, i decided to use it for store credit... and there wasnt anything i...
10-15kw??? no way.... i replaced mine with a big davies craig thermo, and it didnt make any noticable difference in power. ive got mine hooked up thru the ECU to come on at a certain temp, and turn off at a certain temp, so it hardly ever comes on. only when sitting in traffic ona hot day. so it...
gilmer drive is now on and works a treat... a BIG thanks you goes to marc (hillerus) for doing it for me. I owe ya one buddy ;)
so far its all good, and holding on there good. sounds bloody tuff to :D
yes hi-torque on teh gold coast done it. he has the tune, CAI, and exhaust. prety sure that it. his best before the drag day was a 14.7. he smashed that time alright. not bad for a stock tuned alloytec.
ive got pacemaker tri-y's (4-2-1), twin cats and twin 2 1/2" system the whole way thru, with one sinlgle muffler on each pipe. oh, and it also has a balancer pipe. if u go twin, make sure u get a balancer pipe put in, otherwise it will osund clappy and ****. mine sounds pretty good. has a nice...
nah, sorry, i dont want to seperate them yet. ill see how things go thought and if i decide to seperate, i will let u no.
and the gearbox is great. never missed a beat when it was my daily, then the misses had it as the family car, and it was fine.
to be honest, i was expecting similar times, considering the 14.7 was done in summer, and it had traction issues off the line. 60" times are similar, and MPH is very similar aswell.
either way, its not fast enough lol
yea that was pretty impresive what brandan ran on saturday. would be interesting to see if anyone else has ran similar times, or quicker from the same sort of setup as him
14.7 @ 94mph... that was november last year. i wan running the same MPH on saturday, but couldnt manage better then a 14.9
the last run i did, was a 14.9 @ 92MPH...
3.08:1... i ran my PB in summer last year with 3.9s, with traction issues and crossing the line in top gear... and it also revved fine all the way to 5900rpm where it hit limiter. now it has 3,08 gearing, and i dies in the ass at about 5000-5500rpm... so i dont no what the problem is. it doesnt...
mack... yea ill get back out there mate. i have to find out why it was breaking down up top first. i couldnt go any harder then 5000rpm coz it was dying in the ass and breaking down up top.
hillerus... nah mate, i didnt sort out the gilmer. the reason i came on here tonight was to send u a...
springs are king lows, not sure on part numbers. extractors arent going any where until the motor is out. sorry mate, but i dont have the time to take them out until the motor comes out. but if your still interested then, then we will work something out then
i love it.... thats bloody awsome. stick that up your ass kevin ridd...
as for those bloody tree hugging pricks... i had a couple rock up at my place a few weeks ago asking me to sign up with some crap to reduce the carbon emissions my car makes... i told them to look in my drive way and tell...
still a stock manifold for now mate... the custom one isnt done yet.
not bloody happy though... ran consistant 14.9s today, and tonight, and its breaking down up top. my tuner said it could be valve springs... so yea, NOT ****ING HAPPY!!!
haha yea pete, theres some more ideas for the calais ;)
i must say, im not a big fan of the VE, but dam, that thing is nuts. im very keen to see what figures/ETs this thing puts out
