CHeck the fuseable links on the positive battery terminal…. There’s 2…. Is one blown?

Hi guys, I’ve been having intermittent airbag faults for years on my VE. I dont have any other signs of a faulty clock spring (ie radio issues etc). Is there any other sources of te airbag fault I should eliminate before just replacing the clock spring? Thanks all

Thanks mate…. I put a new centre bearing in it already thinking that was the likely culprit…. Will assess the other rear spots as well

The vibration goes away at different revs…. It only occurs under load at low revs, and around 80kmh…. Pulling it back into 3rd increases the revs and it goes away (as does accelerating)….

New as in 2ndhand…. Will check and replace if necessary…. Vibration definitely feels rear and not central though…

Should be ok but not checked yet… new trans went in 6 months ago….

Glad I pulled out the PCV…. This is what it looked like…. Drives like a new car now….

Mine was a blown fuseable link in the battery terminal when this happened to me...

Mine was a blown fuseable link at the battery - no crank check both on the terminal then move down the line

Hi guys... I must say I was lazy and just wanted to get it going, so I just crimped some round terminals on either end of heavy guage wire - I then tinned the ends flat like a spade and pushed a 60A fuseable link on the ends...

Found the issue I think guys.... I didn’t realise there was a 60A fuse beneath the cover as it was black... I shall replace and see if it’s the culprit...

Hi mate. I only see four clamps in that picture. Two positive, and two negative. There is a black box to the right hand side of the picture which is a charging box for a dual battery (thumper) set up. It’s not currently connected so it’s not associated with this problem.

battery polarity certainly not reversed. As stated it ran fine until disconnecting my spare battery. 2 keys, both do the same thing. Southern suburbs of Adelaide
