Airbag fault - how to be sure it’s the clock spring?

Hi guys, I’ve been having intermittent airbag faults for years on my VE. I dont have any other signs of a faulty clock spring (ie radio issues etc). Is there any other sources of te airbag fault I should eliminate before just replacing the clock spring? Thanks all

    Vibration at 80km/h

Thanks mate…. I put a new centre bearing in it already thinking that was the likely culprit…. Will assess the other rear spots as well

    Vibration at 80km/h

The vibration goes away at different revs…. It only occurs under load at low revs, and around 80kmh…. Pulling it back into 3rd increases the revs and it goes away (as does accelerating)….

Hi all…. Old thread dig…. Engine mounts stuffed - replaced Centre bearing ok but also replaced. Vibration much better since engine mounts replaced but still there at 80km under low revs. Acceleration fixes. Haven’t replaced diff bushes yet, but is there many other common things to check while...

    Vibration at 80km/h

Hi VE heads, I’ve got a VE Calais with 300k on the clock... comfortable solid car but at the age where things steadily need replacing.... Currently, I have a quiet clunk when taking off hard, and a vibration at around 80km/h, but only when not accelerating. When under acceleration or load it...

VE Power Window goes down but not up! Power at plug

Any ideas on why I’d have 12v and -12v at the plug but the window will only go down and not up? How’s the centre switch effect this?

VE Power Window goes down but not up! Power at plug

Roger that, I’ll have a look.... although if it was something like that I’d assume I’d not get 12v or -12v at the regulator plug?

VE Power Window goes down but not up! Power at plug

VE Power Window goes down but not up! Power at plug

Hi guys, Any advice appreciated... I’ve got a rear RHS power window that goes down but not up... I’ve taken the trim off, accessed the plug with the multimeter, which reads both 12v and -12v depending on the window button pressed. So in my mind this means the system to the regulator is OK. So I...

Car Immobilised - Contact Dealer X

Hi guys... I must say I was lazy and just wanted to get it going, so I just crimped some round terminals on either end of heavy guage wire - I then tinned the ends flat like a spade and pushed a 60A fuseable link on the ends...

Car Immobilised - Contact Dealer X

Hi mate. I only see four clamps in that picture. Two positive, and two negative. There is a black box to the right hand side of the picture which is a charging box for a dual battery (thumper) set up. It’s not currently connected so it’s not associated with this problem.
