You could always change the mufflers. Magnaflow do a 2.5" muffler for the VT-VZ (muffler only, size to fit the car). Magnaflow mufflers are awesome at quietening down the exhaust under light throttle, and really letting it rip at WOT. They are expensive, but well worth the dollars.

I'd go with this one. that does sound like the same chime that is made when the handbrake is applied when the car is moving. I think there's a minimum speed it chimes in at too, but not sure. It may be a loose handbrake switch causing the problem. If in fact the chime is the HB chime.

+ 1 for Pro-Stroke! They built my L67 motor and it hasn't missed a beat! Runs 28psi and 465rwhp all day everyday, even in Sydneys newly declared worst peak hour traffic, behaves like a stocker. Definately give them a call.

If you want 300rwkw, go turbo, unless you want a blower. If you want a blower, then go a whipple. But you'll be spending more than 10k. The blower kit alone is around the 7k mark, then you've got to build a motor, and a box, fuel system, tune. The list goes on. Then there's the brakes, diff etc...
