    I had the same issues and used transmission cooler hose but used double Jubilee clamps each end to stop the minor leaks.

    Sounds to me like it may be the front sway bar links. Does it rattle sometimes? If so then the rubber bushes have died and you have metal-metal with the sway bar moving up and down the linkage. Check both wheel wells. Not expensive to fix.

    I had this happen and it was the float on the sender arm coming off. Got another float and arm from a wreckers and fitted it. Word of warning though, the sedan and wagon float arms are different and the wagon one gets stuck on the pipe to the pump in a sedan.

    Pull the cluster out. Surround is a few screws and a couple of clips. The cluster is 4 screws (I think). Bulbs can be sourced from Supercheap or Autobarn for a couple of bucks.

    Found this in another thread. This does indicate that the 2-3 solenoid sticking would cause the fault. I'm assuming that a blown solenoid would post a fault code but if it's just stuck then maybe not. Going to try to source a 2nd hand one to try before ordering a new one.

    One thing to check is that the DFI relay is firmly seated (swap it over with the headlight relay to test if it's faulty). I had something similar but a lot more frequent, just turning the steering was enough to cause it to cut out. No error codes logged. Wardie
