Yes I used a Mace kit with the locking tools, did the stage 1 and 2 deal. I’m pretty sure I did it right just unfortunately I have a new code. I have a good quality reader, so I might have a crack and isolate each ignition coils. Also i might try a auto sparki.

Ok the code is P0356-00. I checked the brand new spark plug in cylinder 6 and it appeared to have a crack in the ceramic base and changed to another plug. I deleted the code and started up again went for a drive and the code came back after about 20mins. I,m beginning to doubt myself with the...

I’m about to put the harmonic balancer back on the motor sv6, just noticed there is no keyway on the crank. There is only a scalloped out section at front of the crank. So im wondering you just put it back on, doesn’t go a certain way? Has a keyway on the balancer. Any help appreciated.

Ok so it doesn’t matter what way it goes on looking at the diagram. The crank doesn’t have a key as such but does have a scalloped out section at the front edge. Just want to be sure before I put it back on. Any help appreciate.

I have a 2004 vy2 Ute. Just got it registered and filled it with fuel and when I started up it came up with low fuel warnin and then it went the other way, so empty was full and full is empty. Any ideas? Cheers

Has anyone had dramas try to remove the starter motor on a VE 6ltr motor with extractors. I’m finding the heat guard restricting the starter coming out. Is there a better way to get it out? Thanks for any help.

Best way to replace both engine mounts, without taking the engine out? My thought is to disconnect the exhaust manifolds so can lift each side enough to replace engine mounts. Thoughts?

Cool thx for reply, the car hasn’t been driven for last 2 weeks. The abs light doesn’t come on straight away, a couple of kms down the road then comes on. Are you talking about sensor hole in rear, meaning possible teeth missing?

Gday, I have ABS code 28 wheel speed sensor frequency. I have replaced both rear wheel sensors and new hubs on the front. Had the fault cleared but has returned. Have tested leads that connect sensor to abs module on both sides and they seem fine. Anyone else come across this fault. Any help...

Sorted it out. Just plugged my red wire into red wire in VY plug and black wire into 2 black wire plug and didn’t worry about the other one and my seat now goes up and down, awsum. Hopefully this may help others.

Gday, had the box pulled apart and clutches all had it. Car has done 255000km and think it’s original so not bad I guess. It’s all been fixed with a partial rebuild now, wasn’t going to pay over $4000 for full reco but still cost $2600 to get that done. Will be serviced regularly from now on.

Gday readers, I’ve just had my sons sv6 trans **** itself. Took it to trans place and I’m told it’s a rare 5 speed auto so rare to find and fix, also told weak box. Was wondering if anyone has changed to the 4 speed box, if it’s possible? Any help appreciated, also Merry Christmas to all.

I use Castrol Magnatec 10w 40 in my LS1 Vu ute. I change it every 10000km or early. I was told its a good oil for engines that have done a few kms. It works for me.
