I sorted the cold start issue with my VE. I ran the tank as low as and filled with E85 ethanol and I don't have a cold start issue now. I've just refilled with United 98 premium fuel and still no issues. So my question is what are the fuel companies putting in the fuel now that we don't know about?

Why? Just a quick question. Why would U put Monroe shockers on your ute. They spend more money on advertising their product than developing it. Go for KYB or Koni. They don't do the advertising and the money goes into their product developement. :bop:

:driving: Had a vehicle in the work shop with similar problem and it was the fuel pump. they have a tendency to do pumps. swap a friends if U can and it will elimate it that way.

Sorry dude, But You can get a fuel tank from Holdent in Melbourne for $330 New, but I think he only has 2 left. Genuine is about $780. It's not a problem to do the job I had a problem tracking down a tank. Don't go second hand or it will end up being a night mare. Trying to find the right tank...

U have to remove the float while unit still in the tank as the sender and pump will not come out with the float still attached. And the same to refit put senderand pump unit inside the tank then side float in and connect. Stupid idea by Holden But...

Did one the othe day easier to do on a hoist if U can get use of one U have to drop the tank straps and the pump is at the front of the tank. not hard to replace the pump, just a pain with having to drop the tank straps etc. Good luck

Get your coil pack tested at an auto elec's and it could also be your fuel pump. Have had a lot of commodore fuel pumps replaced in the last 5 months, in the workshop, so 2 things to look at. Hope it helps
